--i always thought the hobbit was BY FAR a MUCH better piece of literature than TLOTR
--TLOTR was like 3 HUGE novels of memorizing family trees
--memorizing all the maps of Middle Earth(or constantly having to look at the included map)
--and then like 'a chore of keeping up with' WAY TOO MANY long way over-drawn out battles
--TLOTR are 'a straight up chore' to read imo
--whereas
--the hobbit
--was just a beautiful little tale
--that was perfectly timed and put together(leaving you wanting MUCH more)

--the movies RUINED the hobbit
--because they just turned the whole story into a WAY OVER-DRAWN disaster
--an obvious greedy cash grab(over 9 cinematic hours to tell the story of the hobbit??)

--the first 3 movies(tlotr) were pretty damn good(even if they were still a little drawn out)

--i found "The Silmarillion" WAY MORE entertaining than TLOTR trilogy
--i doubt theyll eventually do a trilogy for the silmarillion also
--because there are no recurring characters(from the other 6 movies~even though all family trees are tied in Tolkien's writtings)

--the simlarillion was like "the bible" of middle earth
--that book really caught me off guard
--it was kinda a masterpiece iMO
