If I play almost ANY online game and do not mute everyone or close whatever chat window may be open, I will almost certainly be called 12 different kinds of slurs in no time at all. Harassment is just the culture of online gaming, and I simply don't believe it's any different for girls except that if a girl shows up the harassment is always tied to her sexuality - it's the easy target. I simply don't think that harassment against girls is anything all that special in gaming, and I think it's only an issue because the *industry* has more issues with it (e.g. uneven pay scales etc).
I haven't chatted in online games for like 3 years now. I either just get in party chat with my friends, or I mute/silence everyone and don't talk. That's just how the world of online gaming is.
@PixelAddict and I'm saying that a console with dinosaur hardware and a faux ipad duct taped to it has bigger problems than its name or what games it has
