@Poodlejumper If you assert a belief that there is no God, you're not doing anything qualitatively different than a religious person is doing when they assert that there is a God.

You're just using different epistemological criteria to make your judgment.

@greatryoman @The_Beanster To be honest most people just have their beliefs and never think through them. Many atheists like to pretend they've thought through their beliefs, but very few actually have - it's just the "cool" thing to do on the internet.

Many Christians also haven't thought through their beliefs self-consciously either.

Result: mindless comment trolling from both sides.
