Ok, I actually have a serious question concerning this topic. I was in the mall the other day shopping around for some clothes. Well, as I was staning there looking for shirts, I let one pass out, it was pretty audible and reverberated well. There were a group of three people next to me that I didn't notice, and they all were looking at me in an extremly angry expression. So my question to you is. Why do some people take this so seriously in public? Is it wrong to do? Do you have that right? I'm confused, I feel this would be a normal bodily function we should be able to exhibit at any time, but some people seem to really think otherwise. What does OT think?
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] I'm not for despots. As long as someone doesn't act on their hatred or get others to do.....it's not a crime. Sticks and stones man.....don't take freedom for granted.

Those things aren't as inconsequential as you think. First sign of civil unrest, or the opportunity to do so, and people motivated by a strong sense of hatred have a reason to act on their ideologies. You can't stop someone from thinking these things - you can, at best, offer an education programme that tries to break down these false theories - but if you prevent people from manifesting racism or prejudice in media outlets or in public, you don't allow them to band into cohesive groups who have, as a uniting factor, the hatred of a specific group.
I don't care. If they haven't acted...it's not a crime. Nor should it be. ko
