White people used to live in the city. Then they left for the suburbs. Now many black folks are moving into the suburbs.[QUOTE="AutoPilotOn"]It's kinda funny or sad.. You go into the city near me (I am in suburbs) and it's almost split 47 white 45 black and it's a total crap hole of a city. I work there and don't even like driving through it. White people don't like the city I guess. BMD004
That neighborhood that I used to live in in New Orleans was considered the suburbs, and it was mostly white in the 80's. More black folks started moving in during the 90's. We left in the 00's when the black population was about 65%.
It's continued to increase since I left and it's now 80%.
I don't know all of the reasons behind it, but what is a fact is that the neighborhood started getting dangerous the more the black population grew. Our house was burglarized twice, our car was stolen 3 times and it wasn't recovered the last time. Our next door neighbor to the right was burglarized once. Next door neighbor to the left was robbed in her house at gunpoint. Neighbor across the street was burglarized. A guy was shot dead through his windshield down the street... it had something to do with drugs. The guy that lived two doors down was an old crazy black guy in a wheel chair who was always drunk... like a stereotypical guy in a wheelchair in a ghetto neighborhood like you'd see in the movies.
It used to be an average middle class neighborhood, but it turned into the ghetto real fast.
Now it seems like many white people are moving BACK into the city in the gentrificated parts.
People getting shot over drugs.. We could fix that so easily.. what a shame[QUOTE="theycallmeRP"]Yeah, people believe that the government can control the weather. I really hope that never happens in the future. That would suck.Earthquakes and other natural disasters, unless there are people that beleive someone is secretly controlling the weather.

Blade Runner gets so much praise because of the time it came out in. Was innovative for the time. Still an entertaining movie. I thought it was decent.Taxi Driver comes to mind, it was okay to me.
I was excited to watch Blade Runner for the first time a few years ago and it was a little underwhelming. Maybe I should watch the Director's Cut.
