I'm currently sitting in the San Diego Airport waiting for my flight. WWe were sipoosed to begin boarding 10 mintues ago, but they haven't announced anything about a delay or anything. I had an amazing weekend!! Took tons of pictures!! like a few hundred.
I had typed that before getting on the plane, apparently the san Diego airport is super confusing!! they have the desk and the people who take your tickets in 2 separate places! I was soo confused!!
So here's a run down on my awesome fun weekend with E.
Thursday: I got up and made sure I had everything that I needed for my trip, then sat around waiting for my parents to come pick me up at my apartment around 11. They came and got me, and we drove to Milwaukee. After getting to Milwaukee we checked in and went up stairs for lunch. I was kind of sad, the airport has changed soo much, instead of the Old country store that I loved we now have the NBC Milwaukee store :( The only original things are the bookstore, and the stuff in the foodcourt. We boarded the plane and had an unadventurous flight to Denver. In Denver my parents and I got dinner and enjoyed the beautiful mountains! At this point we separated, my parents to board a plane to Sacramento to go to stockton, CA to see my grandparents, and me down to San Diego for the weekend with E. Both of my flights I had great conversations with the people sitting next to me. It was pretty cool. When I arrived in San Diego, I called E and went to get my bags, and hang out with the women who sat next to me on my first flight while we waited for our bags, once they came and her sister came to meet her I went outside to wait for E. I didn't wait too long. After getting picked up we went to her friends house to get tickets for whale watching dropped off treats at the video store she used to work at and ran to the grocery store. Then we just hung out and went to sleep.
Friday: We woke up, and got ready to go to the animal park. E's friends G came over and met us and we headed out. We spent the majority of the day there. It was awesome!! Soo much fun!! I totally recommend the Wild Animal Park to anyone who's in San Diego. A good thing it wasn't super busy either! After seeing all the awesome animals, the best being the Lions and elephants, we began to head back, but we had a coupon for a free wine tasting at a place near the park, so we went over there and tasted some wines. Then we headed back to E's house, and then went to Trader Joe's for some stuff for dinner. After TJ"s we went back to E's house and watched "Stick it'" and made pizza. After dinner we watched a little more TV and looked at the photos from the day, then went to E's friends House warming party. It was kinda crazy. the roommates of E's friend had lots of crazy guys over, who were way excited to be playing Catch Phrase, They were soo competitive! it was kind of entertaining. After we left there we headed back to her house to hang out and go to sleep.
Saturday: After having breakfast we headed to the Port to go on the Whale Watching Trip. That was soo much fun!! We didn't see any whales but we did see some really cool dolphins, Swimming right infront of the bow of the boat. It was soo amazing. And we saw some Sea Lions Sunning themselves on the buoys. After the 3ish hour trip to see the whales we went to Rock Bottom for lunch then to The Del (something) hotel, walked around, Then we headed down the coast to the last US exit before you hit Mexico. When we were on the Whaling boat you could see Tiajuna (TJ), since it's only like 20 miles from San Diego. After that we went north driving by the beaches and saw people surfing.. Then we took a little walk on the beach but it's was getting chilly and really dark, It was really interesting that the beach had soo few shells, it was all rocks very smooth rocks though. Since we had had such a late lunch we weren't really hungry, so we went to a pub called "Shakespeare's" It was cool, they play whole soccer games and stuff on the weekends. After some chocolate Cake there and 2 drinks we headed back to E's house. We made a grilled cheese to spilt and watched the Tudors. Which was a pretty good show. Though i fell asleep like 15 minutes into the episode. When it was over I went to bed.
Sunday; We headed out to Cabrillo to the Tide pools. On the way we stopped at a military cemetery to check out the frew of the whole city. Then we got to the pools, which were sooo awesome!! E slipped and soaked one foot but that was all the wetness we got, We looked for starfish and other sea-life. We found some cool little things which we later decided were Sea Enenames (SP?). As we were leaving the tide pools we climbed up a rock-face to get where we could catch the path back up to the car. After heading back to the car we went to see the light house and the history of Cabrillo. After finishing up there, having a mini picnic in the car of PB&J's, we headed to a State Park to go hiking/walking, We walked down to a Dam that had been made a very long time ago by a tribe of indians. It was really cool, we were walking in the middle of 2 mountains. When finished that it was around 5 So we headed back to her house to make dinner and hang out. We, well she made lentil soup, which was really really good!! And we watched a movie, I think it was called "A death at a funeral". It was a british film, kinda weird but good. After dinner we hung out for a bit, her roommate had a date and we talk to her for a while, then we headed to Dairy Queen. And we drove around Balboa Park, Which would have been super cool during the day, but the architecture is awesome. Then we headed back to her house. I packed up my stuff and we watched another episode of "the Tudors" Her other roommate came back and we talked with him, then the 3rd one came back with the girl who he went on the date with. We talked to them for quite a while, then she left, and we finished the Tudors episode and we went to bed.
Monday: Today. I found out that my parents are going to be on an earlier flight from Denver than me. So I had to figure out how I would be getting back to madison. But they decided to stick around Milwaukee to wait for me, which was very night, considering they have my winter coat, and house keys. So now, I'm just sitting the plane flying ober New Mexico rightnow on the first part of my journey back to Wisconsin, We should be in Denver in like maybe forty-five minutes or so.
Thats all I've got for now.
Pictures will be up on flickr in the next day or so!
