I would get some winning lottery numbers, download some popular future movie scripts PDF's, and read news and events from 2010-2020 or so.

Buying a Mac has probably been the best decision I've made. I'm a Film student and I use it every day for all my needs. Only bad thing is the lack of games, but you can always get Bootcamp on it.
