That's exactly the size you need to see any discernible difference. But guess what. Most people don't buy TVs that huge and they still market 42" 4K TVs which are pointless unless you're sitting 3 feet from the screen.
One thing GameSpot tells you that's wrong- DON'T sell the Atlas stones. No spoilers but I've heard from numerous sources that you'll need them if you follow the Atlas path.
Don't think you grasp the sheer variety that they managed to cram into that data. There's also the underlying 3 story paths you can follow. Not to mention that this is the type of game that will see free content updates for a long time to come. That's why the people bitching about the $60 price sound like fools to me. Guess they'd rather shell out that same amount and then $100 more on DLC expansions.
Not the vast majority by a long shot. Don't know how you got that insight from this article, that wasn't said at all. I've come across a few planets that were only basic plant and fungal life. A few that were barren save minerals and outposts. I'd say that 1/7 of the planets I've come across have advanced life forms and even fewer that would be considered "teeming". It's a pretty good proportion- rare enough to feel unique but not so frequent as to become commonplace.
With N3DS supporting SNES titles now, why the hell wouldn't they release this on it too? No, they put it in the console with a fraction of the user base. Brilliant.
