I'd have to agree with the previous comment- CoD4 is easily the best shooter that has been made in the last 5 years, the funniest part about this situation is that it came out more than a year ago and it still hasn't been topped as an overall package. The single player is one of the best, most intense, cinematic campaigns that has ever been produced, and the multiplayer is ridiculously addictive and so simple you should be able to pick it up and have a blast. The latest Call of Duty, World at War, has a little more than CoD4 in the sense that you can play the campaign split-screen with a friend offline, and with 3 others online, but you have to consider that the campaign in that game is nowhere near as polished or solid as CoD4's, which keeps you coming back to it, basically, in terms of 'bang for your buck' you get much, much more with CoD4 and its far more satisfying.

However, I don't know if I would make a decision about what game your getting until Killzone 2 has come out; I'm getting it this weekend like many others and hope it lives up to the hype... Basically if its as good as every reviewer that has had a chance to play it says it is, I'll have to advise you to get that. It's a benchmark game, amazing graphics, intense campaign, solid multiplayer, and the mechanics are pretty simple to pick up and play, but like I said before, not having put hours and hours into it like the two Call of Duty games really limits what I can say about it.

I would really only get a remake too, I absolutely loved those games when I was younger and played them through countless times over and over... Of all of them I would prefer they release RE2, it was the original high point of the series prior to RE4 and it had so much more depth and replayability compared to the others (again, with exception of RE4).

Hell, I would pay top dollar for RE4 on PSN, that would be amazing if they put that out, though unlikely.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 easily has the best online and offline co-op on the PS3, a second player can jump in and out at any time, both players can completely customize every aspect of their character's appearance and equipment loadout, unlocking new items as they play the game. Resistance 1 is close, as its campaign is much longer, but it just doesn't have the staying power of R6V2 which keeps you coming back to it days, weeks, or months later. Vegas 1 and Resistence 2 are a little behind, they both offer excellent campaigns, but in Vegas 1's case it has much poorer split-screen graphics than Vegas 2 (one of the things they cleaned up immensely in the sequel), no character progression and only allows customization of one of the player characters (and you can only unlock new items / equipment by playing versus multiplayer online). I really wish I could offer some imput on Call of Duty World at War but I've never played the online / offline co-op, just the single player and competitive multiplayer so I won't try and give you speculative information about that. Hope that helps!

i wish there was a list too but your best bet is simply going to your instant play list and searching by genre. there are a lot of movies and tv shows to watch but you really have to dig to find what you want. i'm happy with it, been watching the first three seasons of the office non stop in my spare time and i probably won't notice the lack of newer or solid well known big-name movies until i've gone through them.
