Finally bought a Router yesterday. Since I know nothing about routers, I actually spoke to the salesman a little to make sure i got all the bases covered before going and spending money on it. I got a Linksys to anyone who cares. It works pretty good I must say, been able to play around with it a little and loving it. But it did not come out without any problems. As I got the box home and opened the packaging, in big letters it states, "PUT CD IN FIRST". Ok, like the usual instruction following guy that I' am, i put the cd in and everything was going well until it starts running a scan to detect the router. All of a sudden, I get an error message that says "Router is not supported, if you have an older model insert an install cd that came with it" something or rather. After checking that I have all the connections set up correctly and checking the firewall, I had no choice but to call tech support. As usual with these companies, I get a pretty nice guy named John who starts walking me through the process. Once we got everything set up, I realise that I would not have been able to do it by myself at all. He was telling me to go to some ftp based websites set the settings there, then download some firmware. I can't even explain it all, because only an IT employee would be able to explain it. But here comes the funny part, I did not need the damn CD!! Anyway, my XBL will be up and running after i set the wire up cleanly around the two rooms. In other news, I have recently noticed that my PS2 is no longer working. I haven't played it in a long time, plus it was a launch system, the warranty is way expired. So, I went to my local Gamestop and picked up a new one. It's a slim or a compact version, something or rather. Along with that, I picked up Final Fantasy XII, the series hasn't done me wrong except FFXI so I'm enjoying it. Of course the new battle system is something getting used to, but I'm really starting to like the gambit system and no more random battles, thank god. Haven't picked up the DS just yet. It was my little sister's birthday, so I decided to buy her some games. Yeah, she's a gamer in the making.

PS: As I created my XBL account, I noticed how embarrassing my gamer score is, must work on achievements immediately. If you see and start laughing, I won't take offense :)
