are you standing your 360 up or laying it down?  i work at gamestop and i see them all the time...

dont stand the 360 up because any slight movement will cause the reading laser to burn the rings into your disk, make sure you lay it down, but also check that ventilation is clear.  as for the replacing the disk, you can take it to a cleaning station, have them refurb it (i think its like a $1 a disk) and try it that way.  or just buy another gears, its completely worth it

its okay, there are a couple of disadvantages...

A) if you forget to charge it, when the batteries die, you pick up hella feedback

B) you have to talk louder due to the fact the mic is by your cheekbone instead of your face

but with that said, the voice are much more crisp, it is wireless, plus you look badass with it one

 I use it most of the time, unless my girlfriend is sleeping, then i use my wired because i can speak softer and the mic picks it up

I want your honest opinions...

what do you think of the new gears patch (annex, stronger lancer and boom, no glitches or slides ((unless you are badass like me))

My personal opinion is that annex is fun if you have a good squad, the stronger boom is smart and long overdue.  I was extremely pissed that the weapon slide was taken out, but once i figured out the new one, i was happy =)  but the only problem i have with the newest patch is the fact that you take cover on EVERYTHING that you even run by.  There has been many times that i could have easily waxed the remaining guys, but i got caught on 1583 things on the way to cover.  But other than that, no real complaints

i mean its halo, how can they improve it?  wow new weapons?  new vehicles?  no matter what, its not going to top gears

well for the 2nd poster, annex is king of the hill in a nutshell

i dunno if its gonna be good or not, im not expecting too much out of it.  stats are really going to be skewed for the leaderboards just because people constantly respawn, but i mean they are already skewed all to hell...

Kid i work at an eb games (aka gamestop, rhino games, babbages) and whenever we get a new 360, we check to see if it works.  Thats it.  It is your responsibility to as a consumer to wipe your hard drive clean (A. for convience and B. for your security)  It is not in the EB policy to clear the drive.  As for the fingerprints on the chrome, come on kid.  I had fingerprints on my new one, we have to take it and move it into the box.  I know it sucks but get your recepit and take it back for a brand new used one
