I haven't downloaded the 2.4 version yet and i'm afriad to do so after all the issues i read here.

Can you guys make a list of the do's and not to do's for the 2.4 install. I have a 60gb model. I heard if you have a game in the playstation while you're downloading the firmware , that your game will not work anymore or that the PS3 can't read it.

I see people talking about making back up saves of their games. How can i do that? Do you use an external harddisk or something else? And if the day comes that all my saves are gone, how do you use your back up saves ?

Sorry for the noob questions but i just don't want to bust my PS3 because my warranty has expired since june.

Hi guys. I haven't played online yet but before i do, will you lose your secret  characters if you lose a match?

I don't feel like losing them online to the opponent and have to get them all over again. I have the EU version so no passwords for me to get them back. Thank you in advance.
