Xbox One X will be a console that can do the equivalent of medium settings @4K running at 60 FPS, that's pretty awesome for a console gamer, I think.

Sure a lot of detail has to be sacrificed to achieve 60 FPS, but it's still looks awesome.

I run a 4k Ultrawide with a slight overclocked 1080 Ti and I get 70 plus FPS on Ultra which is amazing, but I'm still getting the X simply for couch gaming.

My biggest drawback is the lack of games, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay will last me though :).

Enjoy it for it is, an awesome console, if you don't like it, then don't waste your life posting about it.

It's worth getting one purely for Xenoblade Chronicles X, Seriously good,fun and addictive. Then you have Zelda and Mario but also the NX will have Zelda so if that is what interests you the most wait. But for Xenoblade was worth it's weight in gold.

@GhostHawk196: I have a superclocked evga gtx 1080 I can run 4k at 60 fps in most games, remember we benchmark most stuff on ultra/very high settings with all bells and whistles enabled. If Scorpio goes for high settings at 4k 60fps it will do it no problem. Also it's purposely being made for this so they will make sure it does, Scorpio wont be like a high end pc at 4k it will have lower settings of course which drastically change frame rate, a good example is god rays on Crysis 3 if you turn them off you gain 17 fps and if you turn down shadows by just one setting in gta 5 you gain a huge 21 fps at 4k and I can say from doing this myself the difference is basically unnoticeable. If you was to run gta 5 on high you can break 100 fps at 4k and dropping to 80 fps in heavy combat/explosions, it's all about balance and that is easily obtainable now days just by turning an option on or off.

@phantomfire335: But wait it takes a lot of skill and effort to solve puzzles! lets not forget you have to actually push roughly 24 crates in this game to solve an issue of getting up an 8ft ledge. Must be something with ancient tombs, Drake and crates.

Lets not forget that Scorpio will be running at the most high settings 4k 60fps and that is pushing the boat out. PC will be doing Ultra settings at 4k easily at 60fps on the 1080ti when its released next year so Microsoft and Nvidia have the high end market on lockdown. Sony will have some amazing game frachises running at 1080p solid 60fps which will look just as awesome when you actually play them in person and not watch them on some shit degraded youtube video. I think Microsoft is doing a bold thing and I think Sony is also doing a bold thing but ultimately it's all the same as it is now, you want top end you build a PC you want second best you buy a Scorpio or NEO/NX(?) or maybe you just want to enjoy the amazing range of games they offer (console exclusives ect) then you buy a XB1s/PS4 low end PC and in a few years you start all over again.

The prospects are very exciting and people shouldn't hate so much because if we didn't have Microsoft/Sony and Nintendo willing to do what they do then you would not have games like TLoU/Uncharted/GoW/Gears/Halo/Zelda pushing the boundaries like they are now. If that means you need to fork out more cash I'm afraid that's life ladies and gents.

Nintendo is making mobile games aswell now, literally nothing will put them out of business. They have as much money as they want and all they need to do is release a mario for ios and boom there is millions of yen then another and another and then ow look Zelda ios and the world went nuts and Nintendo revealed itself as Skynet.

@mr_huggles_dog: I brought my WiiU specifically to play Xenoblade Chronicles X and ow man was I not disappointed what an awesome game that was. Zelda is just the icing on the sweet pie.

Dont forget all the devs have to do for the Scorpio version is keep in the details that they would remove for the lower end systems, if you say xbox one is like low settings in 1080p then scorpio will be like high settings in 4k. You can forget Very high and Ultra details that will still be PC gaming only, so each version will have their own differences but essentially they will play the same which is the most important thing to Microsoft now it seems.

Still the immersion of games in 4k at high settings is truly a sight to behold and after playing GTA 5 on my superclocked 1080p at max settings I could not go back to 1440p unless I really needed to its just to dam sexy.

Ultimately choice and variety is a good thing and this whole play across multiple devices is a bold step forward and MS have so much cash they can do what the hell they like anyway.

@GhostHawk196: You clearly have no idea, my gtx superclocked 1080 runs Witcher maxed in 4k almost at 60 fps steady in heavy combat/town searching and I am telling you now it BLOWS AWAY Uncharted 4 (looks amazing for a console and thats down to the skill of the developers), The Last of Us and God of War 4. How can you even begin to say they look as good? hahaha you need to download some uncompressed videos and stop watching you tube comparisons on shitty 1080p monitors. You seem to forget games like Uncharted 4 use a lot of programming tricks to make it the gorgeous game it is where as a PC title literally everything is raw and adjustable almost now days one way or another. The new Tomb Raider at 4k is totally stunning and if you actually play it in 4k you would understand what you just said is a joke so stop talking out of your arse and educate yourself a bit more before you try to type a load of bollox.

Sony's NEO will make games look amazing, The Last of Us 2 running on that will look crazy good no matter the specs

Scorpio running something like Halo or the next GTA or even a new Red Dead will also look stunning

Neither will out class a high end PC capable of Ultra settings at 4k (so basically a 980ti/1070 just or a 1080)
