not sure, dont get the Datel "communicator headset" from Best Buy though.  i bought it and its garbage, only tried it out cuz it was only about 15 bux.

i think im just gonna use the one i used on PS2, havent tried it yet but i heard that it should work on ps3 

im actually liking the non-rumble lightweight ps3 controllers, i think im gonna keep em even if theres a trade-in option

besides only a couple games where it MIGHT immerse me into the game a tad more, rumble is a gimmick in my opinion anyway
