medhopeful

I actually remember seeing your post, and I think it was about at that time that I decided to quit posting on these forums unless I needed help because most of the people doing the posting were extremely childish.

yeah....I got stuck with pretty much the most pathetic group of internet-tough guys trying to make a point ....people telling me to post my PSN id or whatever. I didn't bother posting on these forums after that, considering the lack of moderation on top of all the BS comments. I still read the reviews on here though, at least those were pretty good.

As for the yellow light issue, Sony took care of the problem and it was replaced under warranty with what looked like a brand new 60g system, even though it showed as refurbished. I've been using this one all the time and it works great (albeit the fan is louder than the old ps3) I'm thinking of selling this on ebay since I never use the BC feature and i dont want to get stuck with the yellow light issue again since its still happening.

Holy **** I just woke up to find all this crap written by what looks to me a bunch of losers with nothing else to talk about but whether their playstation or xbox is a better system.

i have better things to do than to take pictures of my video game system that doesn't even turn on anymore cause a buch of 14 year old geeks in their parent's basement think i'm lying.

thanks to those that had something useful to say.

the rest of you need to get a ****ing life. I'll just post in other forums from now on.

yeah... i believe you... having your first post here to say that really adds to your credibility... that and the fact that you're talking about the best and most enduring game system out there... geez man... do something better with your time than trying to bash a console you don't even own ok?ginraisama

i'm getting flamed by everyone of you and all i came here to say was that my ps3 stopped working. I don't even own??? WTF??? great help on gamespot.

maybe i'll just call sony instead.

hummm... first post is a negative one about the ps3...
But, if it's true, i guess it sucks to be you :P
Shouldn't have left it collecting dust.
liamabob

first post here and i'm getting flamed for saying that my playstation died??? wtf? btw, i've only praised the system since i bought it for compared to the other systems and I own all three. i have nothing negative to say about the ps3, i just want to know if there is anything HELPFUL that can be recommended by people not eager to crap on the first person that says anything about the beloved playstation.

"collecting dust" - "taking good care"

don't match

whoody12

great info. keep it coming. no, collecting dust was a figure of speech although i'm sure you keep your gear maintained in a dust-free perfect environment with an ambient temperature and humidity recommended by sony.

now if anyone has something useful to say that would be appreciated.

I bought my 60gb system almost a year ago. I've finally been using this thing after it was collecting dust for months and tonight while some friends were over i was hoping to show off some blu-ray discs and the system wouldn't start. I would hit the power button and a yellow light flashed, a couple beeps and then nothing. after a couple tries the system looks like its totally bricked. no lights, fans, zilch. I tried leaving it unplugged for a while, then tried a different outlet same thing.

I take good care of my gear, i left it on its side, plenty of room, never played it more than 3 hours in a day. I'm surprised to see this go while me 360 has been working fine for about the same time.

Now does anyone know what I can do other than sending this in? are all ps3's 1 year warranty? canada too? anyone know if I will get a 60gb back or could i end up with a non-backwards compatible 40g instead??
