[QUOTE="theuncharted34"]

[QUOTE="eNT1TY"]I thought eveything got a 38 on famitsu with a select few 40s. Their scale starts at 36 and goes up by increments of 2 for a total of 3 posible scores ranging from awesome to more awesome.eNT1TY

no, I've seen a few 30's.

A game could get a 4, if all 4 reviewers give it a 1.

EDIT: I don't want to know how bad a game would have to be to get a 4 on famitsu though :P

they are japan's ign as far as generosity goes :), and for the sake of lending credibility to their publication i guess they need to randomly elect one game every couple months that scores below 30 aggregate

To everyone who is frankly wrong

here is this week's scores

  • Scribblenauts (DS): 9, 9, 7, 10 = 35
  • Kenka Bancho 5 (PSP): 8, 9, 8, 8 = 33
  • Valkyria Chronicles 3 (PSP): 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36
  • Gal Gun (Xbox 369): 7, 7, 6, 6 = 26
  • Mind Jack (PS360): 7, 7, 6, 6 = 26
  • Dragon Age Origins (PS360): 10, 10, 8, 9 = 37
  • Dream Club Zero (X360): 7, 7, 8, 7 = 29
  • Shooting Studio (PS3): 7, 7, 6, 6 = 26
  • Wizardry Twin Pack (PS3): 8, 7, 6, 6 = 27
  • Tsuku Monogatari (PSP): 8, 8, 8, 7 = 31

I see a lot of 20's for a magazine that rarely gives under 30's to games >____>

lemme correct that for you

Famitsu rarely gives under 36 to RPGs. It's the IGN of RPGs

Lol

This topic is dumb(the topic is phrased in a way to start unecessary arguments over playtime and be offtopic)

But to stay on topic, this game is most likely like 35-40. Sakaguchi was referring just to the main story when he said 30 hours, So I would guess that for you speedrunners it's only 15-25 but for everyone else expect 30+

Also to whoever said FF13 is 30 or 35 hours or whatever, HELL NO! When I played I took my time to open all treasure and do some of the sidequests and grind for levels and I only got 25 hours >___>

FF13 is a ridiculously short game (most likely due to all the tunnels which put a whole new meaning in linear lol)

gamenerd15

How is 5 hours shorter than what I claimed that much of a difference?

Claimed for what FF13 or The Last Story

I think because they are such a small studio.
