where do all you people in the UK buy your pre-built rigs or parts from? i got my computer from pcspecialist a while ago and am looking to upgrade, but they seem too expensive now though i dont know if its just me
appeals to a wider audienceok i dont understand why Halo 3 have sold more copies then MGS4.

Haven't played an RTS properly in a few years and looking to pick 1 or 2 up and need some recomendations
- around the medieval time period, but doesnt have to be as long as its not like company of heroes sort of thing :)
- reasonably up to date (i guess no older than 2005)
i get mixed up in all the expansions and what not, so finding one is hard.
thanks
except Forza 3 is probably the best racing game in the last 8 or 9 years .. Neither COD nor Bioshock can say this for their genre COD4, and Bioshock were innovative, great experience online and offline, have great graphics. A departure from both the typical FPS games that were out. Forza 3 is just more of the same, which any other game would get heat for. Whether its the best racing game in the last 8 or 9 years is debatable, however as i said i should wait till i play it till i make up my mind.[QUOTE="Luigi_The_Pimp"][QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"] Im not in denial, you expect something amazing for an AAA score. There is nothing that distinguishes this game from its predecessor or the competition. Unchared 2 got a 9.5, not even COD4, Bioshock got that type of score and those were exceptional games. Maybe i should wait till i play it to hold my judgement, but either way forza has never touched GT.Adrian_Cloud
of course its more of the same, what else can they put in a racing sim? its still really good
That it gets so much priase now 2 years after it came out. I mean when it came out people were like 8.5 meh ok game, far to many glitches, and it wasnt talked about much.
Now, 2 years later, people dont stop going on about how much of an amazing game it was (and it was indeed) and reccomend it in every appropriate thread.
I just think its funny and was vastly under rated when it came out and only now people are realising it for how it truely is.
Think bout it, i bet at least 99% of people using this board are using a PC to use this site, i think the average cost of standard PCs here in the UK is £400-£500? Then you go and spend another £280 (PS3 price for example) on a console. Thats at least £680 now. You can get a custom built pc with much better parts for the same price as places like PC world, even cheaper if you build it yourself. Not to mention the standard price for PC games is about £25 where as console games are £40.
PC
Good 1680x1050 TFT £150
5 year future proof rig £500 (even after that the only expensive upgrades are CPU and GPU, new consoles coming out after that much time will cost more than upgraded hardware)
Games £25
=£650 + £25 each game
Console
HDTV 32" (as most people have 32" it seems) £500 for good brand
Console £180 - £300
Games £40
= £800 (PS3) + £40 each game
The price of console games alone make it far more expensive than PC gaming in the long run.
I have a a decent PC and a 32" HDTV with a 360, i much prefer PC gaming and it does work out cheaper, but the problem is the PC game market is getting slower and slower with little good exclusives and watered down console ports.
