I have a phat one with a broken R trigger. I use it in my bedroom for the Internet Radio, I just keep it hooked to a boom box that supports Line In. I carry a slim now for day to day.

Although there are some good games on the PSP, if you dont commute or travel or have to wait in lines or places for hours at a time you may not need one. The PSP for me has been the best gadget I've ever owned in my life but I had it before the iTouch and iPhone were even out. Sony started this convergence thing and ipod users were just listening to music on overpriced players. So if you already own an iTouch or some other portable media player then half of your purchase reason is gone. I barely play games on the sytem, not because I cant but because I'd rather listen to podcasts on the way to work, Internet radio at my desk then I download new podcasts using the wifi, and I might watch a ripped movie when doing cardio at the gym. If thats not something you'll do then you better be sure there are a LOT of games you intend to play Outside of the house. You have a PS3 for when you are at home.

I see it as a gimmic competition. I found Mario Galaxy a fun game to watch and play as second player but it didnt hold my attention enough for me to complete. For me the novelty of the spherical puzzles grew old fast and then I was left with very little. Banjo needs the, "build it yourself and then do it" gameplay mechanic (gimmic) to add enough to the old Banjo formula for me to stay interested. Also I think Banjo suffered from that, "lets make it dark humor for the adults" flaw. Ratchet and Clank and Kameo already gave me great standard platforming with occasional twists. Both of which I thought were better than SMG.

[QUOTE="Toddimus"]pickin a fight on system wars is intelligent? We all use PC's too, we're on them now, but your trying to argue something like how its "smarter" to listen to music in your car. -Master_St3ve-

I'm really not following your analogy here.

What?!? use that IQ. Saying that playing games on the PC is better (smarter) than playing on a console is ridiculous. It's exactly like saying playing music in a car is better than playing it in a living room. IF that sounds stupid to you then print it out and read it to yourself in a mirror.

I have them both but I bought the 360 first because it came out first. There are a bunch of people out there that couldn't imagine a year of game reviews and podcasts talking about a system they dont have. I needed to enter this generation as it started. For awhile there the novelty of the new features was amazing, the custom soundtrack streaming from my PC and the beauty of HD. Plus I can say from experience that the 360 now is not the same machine as when it started. There's been like 10 updates that brought this machine to greatness. Now its time for Sony to patch and catch up and get this war really started.

The worst example I saw was where one guy was posting shots of Gears with its (shades of gray) color palette and trying to say it looked better. Black and White movies from the 50's are practically High Def if color does not matter.

I wonder if the gap will ever actually widen between the two consoles graphics. If it doesn't then these arguments will go on until the next generation. It was so much easier to see the sharper but pixelated difference in the PS1 and N64. Or the less polygonal but more vibrant Dreamcast versus PS2.

This cant be real, its too blatant a rip off. I do think Microsoft has a couple more tricks up their sleeves but this sounds like a serious lack of imagination on the editors part. Blu-ray I can picture happening and maybe even a change of policy that alienates current 360 owners in the future but they'll cross that bridge later.

They do pass off opinions as fact quite a bit. Such as statements that speeds dont seem to be any faster after loading on the hard drive of a ps3 but yet they could have just timed it to get the real fact. Aaron Thomas will cut game scores for Ratchet and Clank and Singstar for not innovating but then rave over the graphics in Professor Layton. My problem is I keep coming back to this site because of what it used to be. Now that they have destroyed everything that once was I only return out of habit and I then curse myself for reading their dribble.

If you regret buying the Wii then you must have done something similiar to this to help you decide to buy it. Why cant you make a decision about one of these consoles on a website dedicated to giving you every fact there is to know about them. All you're going to get here is a bunch of jaded views from people trying to justify their own purchases. I have them all, I like them all, I like PS3 most but I bought it last. Do you know what games you like on either system?
