[QUOTE="Hulabaloza"]There is no gaming Keiretsu. Square supported Nintendo cause they made the biggest console. They moved to Sony when Nintendo gave up on supporting 3rd party developers, and Sony offered them a deal. They stuck with Sony on the PS2 cause dominant Sony offered them cutback licensing. If Square was dedicated or contracted to Sony then DQ would be on the PS3. Final Fantasy 13 is definitely in play.emitsu97

That's not why Square left Nintendo. It's also not why Square stayed with Sony.

Square hasn't stayed with Sony, Dragon Quest is on the DS now, FF11 is on the 360, and I'm sure Wii games are in the works. Not to mention Crystal Chronicles was on the Gamcube.

You know Final Fantasy 7 was originaly shown on early N64 tech demos, and then it went to the Playstation. So why in the hell would it even suprise you in the least if they made the game for the 360! Final Fantasy was a big Nintendo platform game, the genesis didn't have it... and then bam, Square made it on another system! Don't be a bunch of fanboys and act like Square gives a damn about what system you play their games on.

It looks as if you don't know the reason why that happened. Also, try communicating a thought without using name-calling. It tends to detract from your credibility.

One of the reason why was because Square wanted to use compact disc and didn't want to deal with cartridges anymore, also has to do with the relationship with Nintendo at the time. But the point still stands, they will create games on any platform they desire. It has nothing to do with anything but making money. And I didn't specifically call anyone a fanboy, I was generalizing because yes their are a lot of fanboys that think Square Enix owes them something, or who think that they wont make FF13 on the 360.

If any of you think that Final Fantasy 13 will never come out on the 360, you ought to take your head and remove it straight out of your ass.

I'm not saying it will come out on the 360, I'm saying if it surpises you, or you can't believe it would happen, then you need to wake up and smell reality. Reality is, Square Enix is not owned by Sony and can produce the Final Fantasy series on any platform they desire, and if they think it's worthwhile they will bring it to the 360.

I've been an avid gamer since 1988, it makes no sense to me that some of you are single console owning fanboys. Why not own a 360 and a PS3, that's what I plan on owning. If you can manage to find the money to buy a PS3 you can get the money to buy a 360 also.

You people think that these game companies give a crap about you? No, they want to sell games, and as many as they can to get a return on their investment.

Why on earth would you become attached to Sony or MS, or Nintendo and limit yourself to just the games that come out on those systems. It makes no sense, and if you're a real gamer you wouldn't do that.

They'll end up selling more copies of the PS3 version since that's where its biggest fanbase is. Still, it does seem a little fishy where Capcom was saying about a month ago that DMC4 is strictly an exclusive to PS3, now all of a sudden it's going multi-platform. Seems to me that there was some money being slipped under the table from Microsoft.Flame_Blade88
Wait a second I'm a Devil May Cry fan who owns a 360 and doesn't want to spend 600 dollars on a PS3. No, because a few of you single console fanboys are fans doesn't mean the PS3 has the fanbase or that it will sell more. Not to mention these kinds of games sell well on the 360, and Ninja Gaiden was a huge success which is a similar game. A lot of people own more than one console, and enjoy playing games... not whining about why one game is one one console and no the other.

I'm sure eventually Dead Rising will come to the PS3... but the PS3 cost a lot of money to develop for, is harder to develop for, and has far less install base. Meaning it will cost them a lot, and their return may not even be worth it right now. It's the exact same reason why Capcom games weren't ported to the XBOX, the PS2 had many more gamers willing to shell out the cash for a game, why spend the money porting over something that might not even sell well on the original XBOX.

The fact that some of you think Capcom owes any of you fanboys a damn thing boggles my mind. Capcom is a business, the 360 has been good for business. It makes sense for Capcom to make the game for the 360 because the 360 has a big install base with many gamers who would love to buy DMC4.

I bought RE4 for the GC, do you think I cared that it came out for the PS2... no, now more people can play this great game. But please continue to whine like little girls, as if your not going to be able to play the exact same game when it comes out.

Sounds to me like some of you are pissed off because you bought the PS3 thinking this was one of the big exclusive worthwhile titles.

Folks guess what, money talks **** walks.

[QUOTE="Videodogg"]You guys are so SAD. Cry a river why dont you. If the game is good, who cares what system you play it on. God, ps3 owners are such whinners.G-Legend

One we loved the DMC franchise and have supported it, 2 we lose another exclusive that 360 fanboys will gouge our throats over and 3 Capcom is so f8cked up, they say 2 days ago that it's exclusive and come and do this to us loyal Sony fans who have supported DMC for a long time and the fact that they give 360 exclusives but give them one of ours pisses me off, if they do not bring Lost Planet or Dead Rising to PS3 I will enver buy a Capcom game again period.

Who is "we" people who limit thereselves to one single console, and believe they have a right to get the next game in a series simply because all the other games have been on the previous console. Ignoring the fact that the PS3 cost to much to make it a finacially successful console (at this time) for game companies to only produce their games on the PS3. When they can produce the game for the 360, for cheaper because of the supeior developer tools, and release it to a wider audience because it's now on two big consoles. And to an audience that enjoys the kind of gameplay that DMC series offers, ensuring that it will sell well.

Yeah... Capcom, man they are dumb.
