Update

So my games review revolution hasn't really kicked off properly. The troulble is...I can't find enough games that seem worth a purchase. Maybe my standards are now too high having been a video games enthusiast for over ten years now, but I can't help but feel there are too many 'average' games being made. If you look at any game genre out there, how many trully top class games are there, and I'm talking groundbreaking, trully original or inspiring that you just have to buy because you know you will be missing something. Now look at all of the other games - the other 99%. If i've bought about 8 games this year so far (yes i know I really can't find anything thats different to what I've already played, I'm pretty sure I'd regret buying about half.

I've bought:

Battlefield Bad Company - don't regret

FIFA 11 - don't regret

Empire total war - regret

Napoleon total war - don't regret

Tom Clany's End War - regret

Operation Flashpoint Dragon rising - regret

Halo Reach - don't regret

so thats 4 I don't and 3 I do. That's only 7 games I've bought this year.

Maybe I'm being too picky, but seriously how many verteran gamers feel the same way?

Time to Begin a New era of Game reviewing

OK all,

Ive been debating whether or not I should join Gamespot and begin to review games. I finally gave in after studying the reviews that players have given on certain games, I feel that a number of reviews both good and bad are of a poor standard. Some people like to rant on about how bad a game may be, while others believe that a game is great just because they deem them to be. I also believe that too many games are receiving high ratings, some undeservedly so.

For these reasons I have decided to begin to review games that I have played, and I will also review games taht have been released for some time, I will adopt a new tougher grading regime, and hopefully other gamers will understand the reason for this new way of reviewing and appreciate it.

Till I blog again!,
