I think part of it is down to us reaching the end of the current consoles life spans and it is time we started hearing more concrete news regarding the new consoles. This always happens at the end of a consoles peak time, games decline in quality and innovation because the console has done everything it can so the designers resort to rehashing those old formulas. This generation may have some more life left in it but only if we accept that we're not going to see anything groundbreaking as it's all been done on these platforms already. I just hope that the next hardcore consoles we see will bring with them some fresh thinking and not just more of the same with better graphics.

I was keeping practically every game I owned but it got to the point where it was getting silly. 100+ next gen titles not including PS2 games etc. So I decided to stream line my collection and as I am a trophy hunter I let my collection be displayed through my trophies and so If I have got all trophies on a game and don't plan on playing it again (having alot of games I dont go back and replay many) or if a game has no trophies and Iv completed it then I sell it on. Helps me keep track of what I'm playing, although I've only sold about 15, still a rather respectable collection :) Saving money now though and renting games through lovefilm if I won't want to play them for more than a few weeks

I love GTA (minus the dissapointing GTAIV).

This game is over-rated. I got bored of the missions very quickly. It is like GTA except half the fun. The riding of the horse gets old. The chracters aren't entertaining. I just got bored of it and think I will trade it in before I finish it.

Nightrain76
The horse isn't really there to provide the "fun" as such, it just adds to the atmosphere and feeling of the game and the time it is set in. If you like a game that has a good setting, is atmospheric and makes you feel like you're really there (fallout 3 for example) then get it. If you game more for the "fun" side, such as instantly gratifying fast paced arcade games (kind of like GTA which is what sets them apart) then maybe you'll feel like Nightrain76

When I first started the game I thought it was overrated but soon realised that was only because I hadnt given it enough solid play time, I was dipping in and out because I had other games on the go and its one of those games you have to immerse yourself in. It is rated extremely high by all reviewers yes, and I will point out that at times it can be very glitchy. But despite 1 day especially when I felt like throwing it out the window because of the glitches (they all seemed to come at once for me) I must admit it IS due all the praise it has recieved. For me the few glitchy moments and occasional control annoyances hold it back from perfection and so its probably a 9 not 9.5 for me but who cares, it looks amazing, has alot of content conpaired to most games today and it sucks you in with a great atmosphere and well crafted structure with lots more to do if you want a break from the story. If you have space in your life to dedicate yourself to a new game for a few weeks then get it, if you won't be able to sit down and play through it for a while then wait for a price drop as its not really a dip in and out game, imo

Ok there are easyish platinums that are still cool games to have on your trophy list, such as Modern Warfare 2, inFamous, Assassins Creed 2, Borderlands if you enjoy it enough to put the time in (chances are you will) and other games. Then there are games that are mega easy but if you are just starting out on your platinum collection you wouldnt want them to be among your first platinums, you would only want to collect them if you have a few already. But these ones are ridiculously easy, like play the game one afternoon and your done, namely: Trivial Pursuit (use a guide), Hannah Montana: The Movie (get some respectible platinums first and just use this to boost your count), and Terminator Salvation and even Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (Easy platinum with the help of a guide.) Those first 3 especially are TOO easy, so if you have a few then use them to boost your level quickly
