First off, I just want to make it clear that I have nothing against GameSpot's editorial team. I think you all do a great job and I have been very appreciative of all the hard work you do.

I have been a yearly subscriber to GameSpot since May of 2002. The biggest draw for me to GameSpot, and just as important as the editorial content, was the personalities associated with the site. The greatly diminished number of said personalities has all but completely removed my desire to frequent this site. To Ricardo, Ryan, Brian, Tor, Aaron, Justin and any other On The Spot players I have forgotten, I still love you guys.:)

It is a shame that the GameSpot staff has been put into such a terrible situation. It would be great to think that change could be made for the better after CNet had been called out, but sadly it seems the almighty dollar is most definitely seeing to the contrary. My kneejerk reaction when everything went down last year was to get angry and immediately cancel my subscription. However, I decided to give CNet and GameSpot the benefit of the doubt considering how little the general public actually knew about the situation. However, considering all the information that has come to light since then, I find it difficult to continue to give money to CNet in good conscience.

And to the suits who run CNet/GameSpot, I just want to make it known that my new home for gaming is 1UP.com. 1UP has great editorial content and great personalities en masse. Oh yeah....let us not forget integrity. Thank you GameSpot, it has been fun.

Just this past week I received my replacement guitar. My original guitars down strum was broke, only the up strum worked. I have only played maybe an hour with the new guitar, so far no problems.

I took a peek inside the new guitar and the strum mechanism is completely different from my launch date guitar, almost as if they had two different mechanisms planned from the start.

My other gripe is Konami giving the middle finger to its long time fans who helped keep the series going with their purchases by making Origins a PSP exclusive, thanks guys.:roll:MarcusAntonius

Oh, do not worry fellow Silent Hill fan. Give it time. Once every last dime has been squeezed out of PSP owners, a PS2 or Wii port will surely follow. However, I own a PSP, so yeah... ;)

The atmosphere is nonexistant, mostly due to the fact that the sound will constantly get stuck in loops causing me to reload, or it'll just sound very shallow....Rottenberry

Your first problem, playing PC ports of console-developed games. Do not hold a shoddy port against the game as a whole.

You are obviously interested in the franchise enough to have installed the PC version and attempted to play it, so my advice is to not give up on it just yet. If you own a PS2 or XBox, pick up a copy on the cheap or just rent it and play it the way it was meant to be played.

The game has failed to frighten me or even get me tense this entire time, although that may be due to it's age...Rottenberry

Not a well-informed opinion considering you have seemingly only played a fraction of the game. However, I would REALLY like to know what you deem frightening.

The people that have been the face of GameSpot has been the reason I continue to come here day after day. They are the reason GameSpot is/was my favorite gaming site. It is getting really hard to stay.

I think it is obvious that one should not try moving their account from one 360 to another until Microsoft takes care of the current problem.

You would be fine downloading content, just do not think about playing multiplayer. The lag associated with a satellite connection makes online gaming, except for something like Uno or checkers, impossible.

[edit]UKLTLEMON beat me to it...[/edit]

I am with GodLovesDead on this one. If it is not too much of a hassle, just swap out the ethernet cable between your PC and 360 when needed. If you need to have your 360 and PC online at the same time though, it becomes trickier and or cost money. There is always the option of using Windows' Internet Connection Sharing to log into XBox Live through a conection between your 360 and PC. Google "connecting 360 to PC" or something like that to find a bunch of threads that explain how. Of course, the best way is to just buy a router.
