Hey guys and gals,

I really hope the next Mortal Kombat movie is a vast improvement over the last two. I wrote this one here in the hope that fans of the game might like it and help get it made. If you like Mortal Kombat, I hope you'll read this and leave me some feedback. I'm not trying to make any money out of it, I'd happily give it to the Producers for free. They have just signed off on a script by the same guy who wrote the TV show (Sean Catherine Derek). Unfortunately I have my doubts about whether it will be as violent as it needs to be to earn the title 'Mortal Kombat'. Anyway, if you have the time, please read my screenplay!

Cheers!

I got Drakes Fortune and MK vs DC for Christmas. I was incredibly excited about playing MK vs DC as I'm a huge fan of both Mortal Kombat and the DC comic characters - so this team up was like a dream come true. I thoroughly enjoy playing MK vs DC, but the experience has been surpassed by the exceptionally well made game that is Unchartered: Drakes Fortune. It has one of the lamest game names in the history of games - the name itself was a turn off and the cover didn't encourage me to buy it. If it wasnt for these forums and the people on them who rave about Unchartered, I would never have given it a shot. I'm glad I did though as its turned out to be a very memorable gaming experience. The game is a little short, I've had it for just a couple of days (playing on easy) and I've already completed 86% of the game. What sets it apart are the precise controls and natural feel of the game play. I love the fact that you dont have a health meter, the way the sceen loses color as your dieing is pure genius. The voice acting is also spot on and breathes life into the characters. The story is fun and keeps you wanting to play even more. The weapons are also easy to pick up and use and the graphics are second to none. It truly is a grade A game and I'm glad I bought it.

Thanks to all the people who've talked this game up, it really is quite special. They should give the Tomb Raider series to Naughty Dog and let them bring back the glory days of Lara Croft.

They should make it more like MGS4. Wouldn't it be great to have hour long FMV sequences interspersed with 20-30 minutes of gameplay? No other game has 'kill this, kill that' style of gameplay in it. Take a page out of FarCry 2, FallOut 3 and Dead Space's book - the range of gameplay dwarfs that in GTA4. You can... kill this then you can... kill that... oh wait.. almost all games with guns in them seem to be kill this and kill that. Maybe you could chase down a guy in a car, have a brutal shootout at an old casino then chase the protagonist across the ocean in a speed boat only to be picked up by an NPC you befriended earlier in a helicopter. Finally you can be dropped on an island for a shoot out with the protagonist and fifty of his goons. Wouldnt that be great? They did that in the last GTA game.

Throw up some ideas and see if you can create better missions for the game.

As a good guy you get free stuff each time you visit Megaton - not sure if you get that at Ten Penny Towers. They start out giving you things like Buffout and Jet and later you'll get Stimpacks and food. You can also fix the pipes there and get a reward for that. Once you've fixed the pipes you can sell scrap metal to the NPC for 10 bottlecaps each. The survival guide is really only worth the mutant regeneration ability you get from the second set of quests. You also get a stealthboy as part of the quests. Go here to find out more.

The website for DC Universe Online hasn't had any new info about this game since it was created a year ago. It tells you to see their MySpace page, but when I went to the page I couldnt find anything there either. It has the potential to be really good but so did Marvel Universe Online and they cancelled that before it got off the ground. The people behind EverQuest II are making this one, so they have experience in the genre. Anyone else keen to play it? How well do you think an MMO console game would be?

I'm getting it for Christmas, I've been waiting for it since I first heard they were making it so the wait has seemed like forever. I'm a huge Mortal Kombat and comics fan - DC being my preference over Marvel. The reviews have all said the combo challenge is rediculously hard, so I'm not expecting to get very far in that - I had trouble with a lot of the Soul Calibur combos. I'm playing through Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks for the second time at the moment. Personally I enjoyed Shaolin Monks more than God Of War II.

Perhaps I'm getting too old for games or maybethis is some new generation y thing - I just dont get the appeal to this game. People seem to love it though, maybe its a fad like the boy band Hanson.
