great article. i have began thinking lots about story after playing the likes of bioshock and half life, as well as completing the halo saga. and it has become possibly the most important factors in making a gamee for me. of course a good game i think needs enough factors (gameplay, story, graphics etc.) to reach a certain level. so overall each factor is intrinsic in a good game, so really i mean to say that story is possibly the most intrinsic for me. personally i believe games are actually the best equiped for story telling compared to other mediums in that they provide gamers the oppurtunity to enter a character and become it- hence allowing levels of immersion unattainable in films where one is simply a "passive observer". also Dutton says Bioshock was insignificant in its storytelling compared to a Shakespeare, however i have to say that i prefered the bioshock story to any of shakespeare's works
