TrevinJames Blog

I have a real problem...

With the fact that I can't listen to voice messages that were sent over XBL on my computer at xbox.com. Why do I have to listen to it on my Xbox 360?! Why can't I just listen to them online?

Don't answer that, I know it's because they aren't going to pay for the bandwidth and memory required to allow every player to send voice messages over the internet. It still irritates me though. Haha.

My Uncharted review...

Will be posted later today. :) I beat it Sunday, but now that I'm done studying for finals I'll be able to check out some E3 coverage and write my first GameSpot review! Woot!

I've also started playing inFAMOUS, I'll have a review up after I beat the hero story mode.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Gahh! I'm dying to play it! Tomorrow I get to play it, and hopefully beat it. If I beat it on Friday then I will definitely write my first GameSpot review over Uncharted. :)

In other news, next week is my last week of academics...until my senior year of course.

Wow, my first video game crush thing...

LOLOLOLOLOLOL! I think I'm in love with Nathan Drake!

So I've been playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune non-stop this past day. I'm addicted to that game. I'm on chapter 13, but now I have to wait until Friday to finish the game! Grr, of course, school screws something up.
I'm dying to know if Sullivan is a good guy or bad guy
Haha, but back to Nathan. Damn, that is the HOTTEST video game male ever! Lol, too bad he's not homosexual.

inFAMOUS review! (GS)

Yay! I'm really happy that inFAMOUS got a 9.0 from GameSpot. :) I suspected that it was going to get a 8.5+ and it did. So, when my friend gets the game I'll beat it then write a review over it. Expect to see the review within two weeks after it's released, with finals coming up and only being able to play it on the weekends in between study breaks it'll be hard for me to beat it within two weeks.

I'm almost done with my Junior year of High School, I can't wait for school to be out. I'd love to get a job at GameStop this summer, maybe then I'll be able to get my own PS3 and Xbox. Not to mention I'll have a nice discount on products. :) I have my SATs on June 6th, the next day I'm flying out to see my aunt until June 19th. I probably won't have a computer to get on, if I do I probably won't have time. She likes to make a big schedule, then we have to pack as much as we can into a day. I don't mind though, I always go down there and learn a lot.

Killzone 2 First Impressions

Well I finally get to use the wysiwyg editor as a reward for getting to level three. Yay me!

So, like I mentioned to Kevin-V, I had not played Killzone 2, and after watching the footage he posted up on his blog I decided to try it. I really liked it, the graphics are amazing...as they should be for the budget they had. (I think it was something along the lines of $40mil) I started a new campaign on medium and got noticed right away that it played much like CoD 4, the aiming was tight and bullet animations were nothing too amazing. The audio is niiice, everything doesn't sound too unrealistic like some games. I didn't play for too long (completed three chapters), I was too busy replaying the inFAMOUS demo over and over. The game is solid...I'm just still waiting for the plot to thicken and I'd like to see some character development.

In other news I've decided that I need less gaming and more sexy. I have to impress the boys ;) I've been reading health articles all day to get some inspiration and ideas of how to be a bit healthier. I'd like to lose 15 pounds as of right now.

First Blog! inFAMOUS first impressions.

Well, this is my first ever GameSpot post.

The basics:
- My name is Trevin James (call me TJ)
- I eat, I sleep, I game
- I am an audiophile (hardcoree)
- I like to blog
- I'm a homosexual and I'm cool with that
- I'm 17

So yeah, I've been lurking the GS site/forums for about two years and finally decided to join the community.

inFAMOUS First Impressions:

Wow, how kickass can a game get? I was really looking forward to playing this game when I first heard about it a couple months back. My friend pre-ordered the game just so he could get the demo or something like that. So I went over to his house to check it out. I think I was more excited than he was. xD Anyways, I get into the gameplay and the first thing I notice are the graphics. They are really nice and look great on a 52' HDTV. So I'm playing the train mission and am taught the basic combat skills. Throughout the tutorial you learn that the elctro bullet thing will never run out, but using special attacks will run down your electricity bar but that refilling the bar will be an easy task. The next thing I noticed was the fluidity of the controls, everything worked smoothly and added to my overall enjoyment of the demo.

The easy difficulty left something to crave, chaos and complexity. I thoroughly enjoyed the missions and I do like the fact that you can be good or evil. :) (I always choose to be good, but sometimes I like to stray, haha.) I think you will not be disappointed with the game, from what I've seen so far.
