I'm Back...Here is the first of many reviews

Yes I've realized I've failed to update this everyday like I said, but now I'm back and I have an idea for this. I'm going to review albums, movies, games, etc. in my journal. Here is the first of many.

System of a Down - Mesmerize (2005)

This album, SOAD's follow up to 2001's Toxicity, a spectacular album, continues down the path of incredible music. Mesmerize is short and sweet, but it is the first half of a double album, Hypnotize comes out this fall. SOAD had a lot to prove on this record, taking 4 years to release an album after Toxicity, which many thought they couldn't top. DId they top it, well I'm not going to say until I hear Hypnotize, but so far I'm extremely satisfied. The first single, "B.Y.O.B. ", is a frantic and energetic song with a strong political message. Throughout the entire album Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian both contribute vocals, and both deliver amazing performances. They harmonize well together and combine that with the band's melodies and you have a winning formula. Tracks like "Radio/Video" and "Cigaro" both stand out and of course "B.Y.O.B.". SOAD goes completely wild on this record, and I'm loving it.
