I play more Dreamcast than PlayStation 2, XBOX, and GameCube. .. Of the four past generation consoles, all of which I own, for me, the Dreamcast still lives as long as I still live.
RE: adamas78 "PC is king for 3 reasons, all equally as important, all 3 reasons consoles cannot rise to the challange:" You should try Firefox, it has a spellchecker. "1: PC has ultra high res. monitors inches from your face, full HighDef 'immersive' gaming, mouse and keyboard least we forget" As for monitors, the same could be said of magazines. As for mouse and keyboard, I'll give on mouse, they do some tasks really well, too bad they don't 'Rumble'. But keyboard? Unless the game is "Typing of the Dead", I really don't see what's so great about it. I'd rather have a D-Pad or an analog stick over 'WASD'. How can one play games like, GTA4, with a mouse and keyboard? That must make driving (something you do a lot of in GTA4) a pain with such input devices. "2: PC always will have the latest in hardware, with games disigners exploiting and designing for this new power" Seriously, try Firefox, or Typing of the Dead, to help with that spelling. Really now, PCs will not always have the latest hardware unless the semi-illiterate owner has the money to spend on the new hardware. Consoles can last for years without upgrades. "3: PC will always have the best Multiplayer experience, and it's all about MP (free updates, free to play, best community, no lag)" Don't forget less choice of games, rampant cheating, and.. wait? Free to play? What about MMORPGs? "There you go, no GFX comparision needed as this is just logic that PC is better , I just summed it up why on top of GFX you should get into PC gaming over..need more?" Yeah, like GTA4 on PC. Sure it looks great not moving. Too bad when in motion it fails miserably. Also, what about audio? Not all PCs can do 5.1 out of the box. "PC = The Matrix" Isn't that a car by Toyota? ------------------------------------------ RE: blackcee "All three are computers. (consoles being restricted to no upgrades)" Where does that come from? Just about every console has had upgrades. PS3 - HDD, wireless headset 360 - HDD, wireless headset Wii - that thing they're gonna plug into the Wiimote for better accuracy PSP - Camera DS/DS Lite - Rumble Pak XBOX - DVD Remote PS2 - Dial-Up/Broadband modem, HDD GameCube - Dial Up Modem, Broadband Adapter, Game Boy Player, GBA Link Cable Dreamcast - 56K Modem, Broadband Adapter, Neo Geo Pocket Link Cable, Jump Pack, Keyboard, Mouse Nintendo 64 - Rumble Pak, Expansion Pak (RAM), Modem PlayStation - Mouse, Disc Drive (3.5 inch floppy) Saturn - Mouse, Keyboard, Modem, RAM Cart (1MB & 4MB) Jaguar (Jaguar CD) Super NES - Mouse, Super Game Boy, Super Game Boy II (Super FamiCom satellite download service) Genesis - SEGA CD, 32-X, RAM Cart, SEGA Channel Nomad - TV Tuner Turbo Grafx-16 - Turbo CD, RAM card (3 sizes) Game Gear - TV Tuner Turbo Express - TV Tuner Game Boy - 4-Player Adapter NES - Wired and Wireless 4-Player Adapter (FamiCom - FamiCom Disk Drive) Master System (never had one, so I don't know offhand) Atari 2600 - Keyboard Colecovision - Adapter to play Atari 2600 games
also I'd like to know how much did the PC cost that's running the games? I know a $1500 PC can have better graphics over $300 (360) to $400 (PS3) consoles. I also would like to know what's inside of the PC and what type of monitors are these shots being taken from? Plus the resolution of the games, 720p, 1080p, and whatever the PC is displaying are a factor too, right?
for Fallout 3, maybe it's my eyes, or maybe my PC, but the PC and 360 scenes look pretty much the same except in brightness, but the 360 version does look better than the PS3.
