I re-watched a couple of films that really help me remember why I love movies in general. Punch-Drunk Love, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are the two films I watched, and I can really say, these films are near-perfect.
Punch-Drunk Love, written and directed by Paul "P.T." Anderson, it shows how well somebody can make a film after the huge hit Magnolia. Barry Egan (Sandler) is a owner of a shop that sells flungers, thats right; flungers. He is a anti-social person, who is really clever and finds a flaw in a give-a-way from American Airlines and Healthy Choice. He meets a girl, he falls in love, same ol' same ol'. But the difference is, it's different. Which is fantastic. It's one of my favorite films of 2003 and on my top 100 list of favorite films ever. Jon Brion's music is out of this world.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, is also a very, very excellent film. Written by Charile Kaufman (Adaptation.), is the story about Joel Barish, a person who decides to skip work, and catches the train to the middle of nowhere, well he meets a girl, falls in love. Now go back in time - he's met the girl, and he wants her erased from his memory and does so. It's a really great film, great writing, great directing and even better acting... It makes you really wish Jim Carrey would do more drama, then comedy, because his comedy shows in his drama more then ever in this piece. Jon Brion also does the music for this film as well. Which is really great. Almost every song is a keeper.
I recommend these films, I hope you take the time out of you're loser life to see them some time.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
by Tri-Cola on Comments
A while ago, I got to see a very, very, very good film called "Little Miss Sunshine." It had a great cast, a great crew and a great score. Not excluding the script which was also... perfect. I wish movies like this would come out more often then the next Fantastic Four, or even Evan Almighty.
I just wish people would see this film, like most have because it is selling really, really well here in Portland, Oregon. People will see why the independent film industry is making money as well as the big budget films. It's like the studio is finally thinking, "Hey, we can make money of these films too!"
If I could give this film a rating on Gamespot, I'd give it a 9.8. In fact, the only way this couldn't be on my top 10 list of 2006, is if Sergio Leone came back to life, and made ten new films.
"Nobody gets left behind" in Hollywood.
