For those of you who don't know I'm an mma fanatic. I do local tournaments myself and watch just about all the mma that is ever on. And now... UFC 116. This was fight of the year for me. I love Carwin and despise Lesnar. But lets start with Leben and Akiyama. I've always had a high amount of respect for Leben with his zombie like ways but I had been following Akiyama extremely close and i have to say that watching such a superior wrestler get submitted was painful for me to see. I think the triangle choke suprised everyone. Don't lie and say that you didn't expect a knockout from Leben. Regardless it was a great fight and had its fantastic moments but in the end Leben came out on top and I salute him for it. And now it's time for Carwin vs. Lesnar. I have wanted that belt taken far away from Lesnar for a long time. I knew that if anyone could do it, it would be Carwin. The first round had me jumping and screaming for joy with a fantastically destructive uppercut from Carwin that knocked Lesnar straight to the floor followed by some vicious and ruthless ground and pound. I thought that would be it. The end of Lesnar but somehow Lesnar survived and became the first person to survive the first round with Carwin. The second round was quite a surprise . Early on Lesnar went for the take down which worked... well. He managed to fairly quickly get Carwin into an arm triangle but left Carwin a little room to breathe. After cranking just a bit it was sunk in very well and forced Carwin to tap. I threw my Gatorade to the floor in frustration. I was incredibly pissed off. Then Lesnar did his usual prancing around the ring showing off. Then came his speech. Immediately something struck me as odd. He sounded... human, something we haven't seen since Mir vs. Lesnar 1. I thought it was just me but then he said something I never thought I would hear Brock Lesnar say, "This is not about me." He went on to thank his trainers, family, friend etc in an extremely heartfelt manner. While it may be too early to tell this disease may have been the best thing to ever happen to Lesnar (I say that with the utmost respect). It has put life in perspective for him and made him much more of a relatable human being. So for once Brock Lesnar my hat is off to you. Congratulations it may not have been the outcome I wanted but you for once deserve it. But I still want Velasquez to kick your ass. Good Luck

So I beat fallout 2 again and I can honestly say that I liked it better than fallout 3 (from what i've played of it). It is so deep and engaging with its story of political conspiracy and crime. Don't be a new age gamer prick try this game out. You owe it to yourself to at least give it a try. And while your at it, play the original fallout also. That game is great but if you ask me fallout 2 beats it out by just a little bit. So give 'em a shot!

So I discovered a new store a my local mall that sold xbox and ps2 games for very cheap so I picked up a couple games that I had always meant to buy. First I bought Timesplitters 2. The game took a while to get used to because the aiming was a little weird but as of now I'm used to it and the game is loads of fun. The splitscreen is some of the best that I have ever played. Haven't had this much fun with a splitscreen game since I first bought the original halo. If you don't have the game you should buy it. The game is still fun after all of these years and if you have a friend to play with you will have waaaay too much fun.

I went back later that day and picked up Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. I absolutely love this game. It is my new favorite xbox game. The amount of chaos and destruction you can cause is mind boggling. Me and my friend pulled an all nighter with nothing but this game and a 32 pack of Mountain Dew. It was great too. Buy this game for the love of god just do it. You will never have this much fun blowing the sh*t out of South Korea. So just freaking buy it.

So I will now be giving my thoughts on all of the psp demos that I download. My first will be MGS: Peace Walker.

MGS Peace Walker:

My first thought when i started was that it had to be an improvement over Portable Ops. Don't get me wrong that game was fun, but it felt behind the times. Well I launched into the demo I saw that the graphics looked much improved over Portable Ops. They looked crisp and clean on the PSP screen. I started out on a beach with at typical Military sergeant blaring orders through my speakers. This was the games tutorial. It taught me pretty much everything and overall it felt much much smoother than MPO. Then they gave me a gun finally. You had a choice of control options: The MPO lock-on kind or the MGS4 aiming. I of course chose the MGS 4 version. It felt much better and I could finally aim for the headshot without leaving myself completely vulnerable. The controls overall felt pretty good. The aiming was a little stiff with the psp face buttons but it still worked just fine. The missions did seem to feel very similar to one another but this could have just been because it was a demo. The last mission mixed things up a little bit in which I was tasked to eliminate a tank crew while avoiding the tank itself this mission was challenging and rewarding. MGS has always been a stealth game and that is still very evident here. You could knockout enemies with a wide variety of CQC moves and your handy tranquilizer gun. The stealth felt great. After the first mission i discovered that gunning down all of your enemies isn't a horrible idea. Even in the demo there was a load out designed for this. I loved the options of play styles and it made it almost feel like MGS 4 on the psp. We won't know how the game will fare until March 2010 but it looks like the game should be a worthy addition to my psp library. Download the demo and see for yourself

I decided to go on a mission to collect the sly cooper games. I used to have all of them but I sold them and want them back. Today my friend gave me sly 3 and i've been enjoying that but I still need to buy sly 2 my favorite in the series. Comment about which sly game is your favorite.

Well I managed to get my hands on the conduit for 50 big ones at gamestop. As soon as I got it the first thing I did was try out the Single Player. It was pretty fun. After doing some tinkering with the Controls I found a perfect set that worked for me. There were so many control options it is impossible for you not to find one that works for you. And then there was the multiplayer. It was twice as good as the campaign and much better than QOS. There were 12 players to a game. The action was fast and frantic. My dog ate the disc to Quantum of Solace... I was not happy. I took it to gamestop and saw if my warranty was still in effect and he didn't believe that my dog ate it. He said that Self Damage is not covered. As I walked out I gave him the finger. I regret doing that because today I'm going back there to buy the Conduit. God I hope he's taking the day offf...

I'm going to start updating what songs I'm learning and upload my covers.

Today I finished learning Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. I can play all of it but the solo. When I find the time to really sit down and focus I'll be able to learn it. I also finished learning ALL of Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. My girlfriend wanted me to learn it.I'll upload a cover to both when I get the time. I am in the process of learning Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. I can play the intro but that's it. Live Long and Rock Hard.

I got Quantum of Solace on the wii. I started playing the single player and it was average. That's why I don't like it was just SO average! I felt like it should be more. Then I tried out the Online Multiplayer. It is freaking awesome! I've been playing team rush all week and I love it. If anyone would like to play with me leave you fc in a comment!
