Or alternatively, aside from Little Big Planet, the list was just full of games that "might" be good, or have proven to be disappointing, some people don't prescribe to Sony's "Just you wait" games policy and prefer to play games that are available now... if you want to keep an overpriced disk player and not worry about games thats your problem.

Anyone that lists a bunch of games not yet released as a reason to buy a certain machine is falling into the hype trap, Lair has gathered some hideous reviews and seems to have mysteriously vanished off all such lists... funny that, there's no point listing games that "might" be good (if you wait).. as these are reasons the lister bought a machine, the same games could be other peoples reasons for avoiding the machine like the plague.

• Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Dull cutscene-athon) [...I guess you're the type of person that doesn't know that some games have amazing gameplay]... What! They've included gameplay this time round... believe it when I see it
• Final Fantasy XIII (2009 at the earliest)
• Final Fantasy Versus XIII (2009 at the earliest)
• Infamous (UNfamous better description)
• Killzone 2 (just check out the reviews and scores for Killzone... oops) [I'm not even going to bother responding to this]... Well you can't can you, there's no comeback to the painful truth.
• Heavy Rain
• Resistance: Fall of Man (Half Life 2 wannabee) [Uh...so an alien invasion in the 1950s where WWII never happened is HL2?]... Mmmm, HL2 Aliens take over the planet, fighting against them with the Resistance... RFOM same game, less penache
• Motor Storm (Half the game modes missing from release, only 8 tracks) [Really fun online, new modes and tracks confirmed to come via PlayStation Store]... Should have been available from the off, rushed half finished game pushed out in a panic
• Heavenly Sword (Can't jump... very next gen) [If you've played the demo, you'd know the gameplay was solid and jumping doesn't make a difference for this one]... You can fight and pull off loads of fancy moves... but can't jump... shoddy stuff like this should have disappeared with invisible walls keeping players on the pre-determined track.
• Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Unworthy) [Have you played the game]... Seen enough, they should have stuck with the Bandicoot
• Ratchet & Clank Future (Ps2 game, shiny PS3 graphics) [PS2 game was great. This will have larger levels with shiny graphics. You have a problem with that?]... Absolutely, whatever happened to innovation... lack of original ideas is what left the PS2 with a massive library of games but all dull generic clones of other games... need to do something new
• Disgaea 3 (Looks worse than a PS2 game, hideous) [Haven't seen this game so I can't comment.]... I have, hideous.
• God of War 3 (Not officially announced) [Many signs point to it coming.]... So Nothing official then
• L.A Noire (2009 at the earliest)
• Gran Turismo 5 (One day, just you wait, keep releasing snippets, full game 2009) [Full game sometime early 2008]... You hope, dull at best, raacing game without any decent racing
• Little Big Planet (1 year away, may actually be worth a look)
• Haze (timed exclusive,on 360 or PC EARLY 2008 )
• Unreal Tournament 3 (on 360 EARLY 2008 )
• SOCOM: Confrontation (painfully dull, Rainbow 6 better option... which on PS3 is piss poor) [SOCOM is dull? Ok buddy, SOCOM is the best online game I've ever played. If you had played SOCOM II, you'd know what I was talking about. Rainbow Six doesn't come close to this game. Confrontation is going old school, that means SOCOM II feel in the PS3. It's what every hardcore SOCOM fan wants.]... If someone asks for advcie buying a console they are hardly going to be "Hardcore SOCOM fans"
• Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Old Xbox game, Ninja Gaiden 2 is a 360 exclusive)
• Nobi Nobi Boy (Name says it all really)
• Warhawk (Multiplayer only, Lair with planes instead of dragons, terrible) [Have you played the beta? I have and it's so fun. Multiplayer only is the same as Single player only. Multiplayer only has more replayability and the game is focused around multiplayer. Great game.]... Did play it... certainly won't bother again
• Ridge Racer 7 (Abysmal)
• Tekken 6 (Virtua Fighter 5 better, online only on 360) [Your opinion]... is worth as much as any one else's, Tekken hasn't moved on since Tekken 3... back to the PS2 game with Shiny Graphics comment
• Metal Gear Online 2 (Pointless) [Not for some people.]... will be for most

Plenty of better games already out on PC/360 that you DON'T have to wait for, and DON't have to buy an overpriced Blu-Ray player to use.

I've heard that the PS3 transforms into a paperweight as soon as you take it out of the box.
