oops.
Well my Mariners jacket was well overdue to being cleaned, so I threw it in the wash last night. Little did I remember, but I had my GBA SP carrying case in the front pocket. Inside the case was my Gradius: Galaxies game. The whole fricken time my jacket was in the wash, I was scouring my room trying to find where I had put that stupid case and the game. My SP was in my pocket -- but where was Gradius? I figured I had left it in the car or something.
So I take my jacket out and hung it up to dry. Then I suddenly came to a revelation, went into a panic and tore into my pocket jackets. Lo and behold, my soaking wet SP carrying case lay drowining in a big polyester mess. I took out Gradius, which was also sopping wet. I assumed I'd have to replace it. But I let it dry for half an hour and threw it in my SP preparing for the worst.
It started right up! The game works!
My first thought was how in the hell. My second thought was to give Nintendo a medal for creating such a fricken durable cartridge. With the old NES cartridges, if you breathed wrong they'd stop working. This little baby went through spin cycle with soap and still runs like a dream.
MAD props Nintendo.
