50 artists work together making art for 2 years. Is there any reason to believe that their end product is not art?
The question of whether or not video games are good art is certainly up for debate. However, what they are is not. You can't define art as being only good art, because that means that there is no such thing as bad art-- there is only art and non-art. That's a ridiculous and superficial definition. Art is art, whether it's the Mona Lisa or a black velvet painting of Elvis Presley.

Sure, I totally agree! I mean (again with the movie example) I don't like Action movies, but it's still art, right? That's the same with video games: some has ultra realistic graphics or background scenarios (like Mass Effect, Shadow of Colossus etc) and others some alternative form (like Okami) and so on.
The term "Art" nowadays is really problematic, but yes, Video Games are following a path that will grant it a art title some day, not only by the aesthetic thing. For example, games like "Grim Reaper" and also some "Final Fantasy" has a so good plot that it can be perfectly a basis for a movie; not only in that way: some games REALLY reach a state of cinema, with camera zooms, alternate cameras focusing the characters, background music and all those things.
In my point of view, it is not hard to consider video game as art. Video games is nothing but a new for of art, where the gamer interacts with the art itself, and that is the most fun of it. Nothing less than I expected for XXI century
Im exactly like that. Good to know that several people act this way =Dyep, i have two older sisters who i get on extremely well with. we used to fight a lot when we were younger, but its a rare occurence now, we usually just reach a compromise if we do fight. and i can talk to them about pretty much anything, which is fantastic.

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"][QUOTE="FragStains"]Linkin Park and Creed are the only death metal bands I like. Unless you could Nickelback. But I think they are more hardcore than death metal.FragStainsPlease be joking. What do you mean? I was at a Creed show once and the crowd was standing for almost half the show. We didn't even need the chairs they had there. It was some pretty intense music. Please, be joking. [2] Man, actually Death Metal isn't in my favorites, but I like some bands that makes a 'cross over' between the genres, like Arch Enemy, etc Some bands that I like: Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden (of course), Symphony X, Eluveitie (Folk instruments and a really heavy guitar; Folk Metal RULES xD), Ensiferum...
