@Evilbunz Sony still has the advantage here, even if their OS might not be as good as MS's. The reason for that is simple, software can always be upgraded or modified as needed. Hardware on the other hand, stays the same no matter what, until a new console gets released.
If Sony does have flaws in their OS design, it won't be hard to modify it as needed, as opposed to MS trying to do the same with their hardware, which is impossible unless they opt to release yet another console.
@Dasim64 I agree. Besides, the Oculus Rift, if anything, can only be considered as imitating VR at best. It's still just a 3-D screen, with lenses and movement sensors. Calling that VR is technically incorrect.
Look at it this way, PS4 is 500$(talking about the bundle) and comes with a PS Vita which will be fully compatible with PS4. You can still just buy games for the PS4, and use your Vita to stream games on it. That's only like the bare minimum you can do with a Vita, but in reality, there are crazy amounts of stuff you will be able to do with it.
On the other hand you got Microsoft's XBox One which is also 500$ but comes with a Kinect. Except for sitting in your living room, watching you and taking your commands to let users sift through the interface without having to use your gamepad like you used to.
So really, just ask yourself; which is the better deal.
