Twister's 2013 NFL Mock Draft Picks 1-5

As most of you all know, I am a huge sports fan. My dream job is just working for ESPN and being involved in the sports world. Trying to make a name for myself at 16 years old, I have written up my first mock draft. For the enjoyment of all, here it is.

1. Kansas City Chiefs- Luke Joeckel, OL, Texas A&M

The only other person I can legitamitly see going in this spot is Central Michigan guard Eric Fisher. The Chiefs, after trading for Alex Smith, now need an offensive line since they seem to be getting rid of Brandon Albert. Joeckel was a key part in protecting Johnny Football, and he can protect Alex Smith and be a key part in the Chiefs offense for years to come.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia

Geno Smith is the most interesting prospect in this draft. There are people saying he'll go as high as #2, which I do, there are people saying he'll fall out of the top five to maybe the Bills or the Cardinals at 7 or 8 respectively, and there are those saying he'll fall out of the first round completely. I say the Jaguars are going to end the Gabbert experiment and draft Geno Smith, the best true athlete in this draft.

3. Oakland Raiders- Star Lotulelei, DL, Utah

The Oakland Raiders are a team with many holes that need to be filled. If Geno Smith is picked by the Jaguars, I say the Raiders go with the defensive linemen position in Star Lotulelei. Lotulelei is a great, athletic DL and he could be a big presence up the middle the Raiders need.

4. Philadelphia Eagles- Sharrif Floyd, DL, Florida

Under new head coach Chip Kelly, it is perfectly reasonable to see Geno Smith falling here to give Kelly that running QB that he had at Oregon. Since I have him off the board, Sharrif Floyd is the best pure defensive linemen in the draft, and in the right hands he can be a monster for the Eagles.

5. Detroit Lions- Eric Fisher, OL, Central Michigan

The Lions have three possible picks here. If the Chiefs pass up on Joeckel to pick Fisher, the Lions will undoubtably sweep him up. They can either go with Alabama CB Dee Milliner, or they can go with Eric Fisher. Fisher was not a name common in January, but a great showing at the Combine has people saying that he can go in the top 5 and maybe even the top pick. I have the Lions taking the CMU tackle with the 5th overall pick.

If I get a good reaction to this, I do have an entire first round made and I will be happy to post the rest. Thanks for reading!
