If you just recently bought a 360, you should not have any worries about overheating. My friend accidently left his Xbox 360 on before he left for a 2 month vacation to Europe. Me and my friends laughed every day to see him away for 2 months straight. Then, when he got home, he played some RDR.

[QUOTE="VladJasonDrac"]

Time Warner cable just wrapped up their deal with Dinsey/ESPN and will now have ESPN3 which all 360 users that have Time Warner will now be able to get the ESPN3 experience on their 360. As it stood before, Time Warner customers were not going to have ESPN content on their 360. Glad this happened with all the bashing we have been taking lately. It's small but it's a positive story for people(like me, a Time Warner customer) looking forward to the ESPN3 stuff on the 360.

As a side note with the 3D craze that some like and some call gimmick. It really isn't going away. ESPN 3D was included in the wide-ranging agreement with Time Warner.

Complete story

SpArKs424

i have DIRECTV what does that mean for me ?

I would like to know this as well. I hope we do. Then I wouldn't have to watch ESPN on my 6" spongebob TV that sits next to my gaming TV :D (unless, of course, I'm playing a game at the same time :/)

Hours for BC 2 aren't accurate at all. Game records 374 hours while Raptr states 434.

But yeah, when you link your gamertag to Raptr, it uploads the hours played to the servers automatically. Not sure about the exact (shoddy) method it uses though.

dissembled

Raptr probably records more hours because BC2 most likely only records game time, while Raptr just recodrs how long the disc is in your tray. I assume Raptr detects when you put a game in your disc tray, records, and stops recording when you go to the dashboard (not really, but similar to this idea. I guess you can think of it as an RSS feed of your gamertag's profile activity).

Example:

You pop in MW2. Sit at the main menu for 1 minute. Wait in a lobby for 1 minute. Play a game for 10 minutes. Raptr will record 12 minutes. MW2 will record 10 minutes.

Also, I noticed Raptr doesn't record if you appear offline.

I use Turtle Beach X1's and I'm very happy with it. Plays game sound and voice chat through the headset. Plus, I love not having to worry about batteries/charging, since the X1's are wired. All of my friends have these wireless Turtle Beaches (x31, x41, etc) and when they say their headset is dying, and start chanting "X OOOOOONNNNEEEEEESSS!" They quickly respond with "...sucks," but I still like them better than a wireless headset.

Well... My friend and I both wanted to beat Halo 3 on Legendary, and we both had 1 more level to beat, but they were different levels. So my friend got his first. Now, we are on the last level. I'm driving down the big hill and getting ready to land in the ship. My friend was saying he was going to leave the game if we didn't visit the grunt easter egg. I took my chances and kept driving. I honestly think he left while I was in mid air, half way to the ship (we were in a party chat though).

I felt like I was going to collapse as I was watching the cut scenes. Then out of almost no where I got the "Achievement Unlocked" message and I jumped and laughed so hard.

I have about 18 games that I just don't play any more. I'm thinking of getting rid of them, whether it be selling or trading in. I have been keeping my mind away from trading games in at Gamestop because I hear they buy the games from you for very low prices.

So, I would just like some advice on what I should do. Should I sell the games on eBay or craigslist? Or are there some cases where it would be better to trade a game in into....*shiver*...Gamestop? I have already observed how much each game sells for on eBay, and have checked out the trade in values on cheapassgamer, but I would just like your opinion.

Here is a list of the games I may sell:

  • Halo 3
  • Modern Warfare 2 (Hardened Edition. Unused COD Classic code, concept art book, special case)
  • Call of Duty: World at War
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
  • Gears of War 2
  • Assassin's Creed I
  • Assassin's Creed II
  • Halo Wars (Limited Edition. All codes have been used. Concept art (or whatever is in there) still sealed)
  • skate. (1)
  • Skate 2
  • Mass Effect (1)
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Fable II
  • Army of Two
  • Army of Two: The 40th Day
  • Battlefield: Bad Company (1)
  • Frontlines: Fuel of War

[QUOTE="xx360shotsxx"]

lol were all entitled to our own opinions but are you guys serious

ohthemanatee

why wouldn't they be? I agree with them, Viva Pinata is better than COD hell, Halo Wars is better then COD

I thought actually Halo Wars was really fun. Especially when I played with/against friends. Anyways... I think COD4 is better than Viva Pinata. But Modern Warfare 2? I think I enjoyed Pixar's Cars more than MW2. I never really played Viva Pinata, but I watched a friend play it and it looked better than MW2 as well.

I really like free-roam/sandbox type games, and I think GTA IV is my favorite game at of all the games I own (I haven't played Oblivion or Fallout, but I hear they are really good).

Mafia II looks like a cool game, and I think it has been compared to GTA IV by plenty of people. I also heard that the graphics are really good, but I don't care about graphics at all since my TV is 480i :P.

One BIG turn off for me though, was when my friend texted me and said he beat it with a time played of 7 hours 38 minutes. I'm not a fan of short, 2 day games. Also, if it only takes 7 1/2 hours to beat, it probably isn't much like GTA IV.

So, I'm wondering: Did you like Mafia II? Was it worth the full $60? Is there much to do after you beat the game?

On my way back from vacation, I saw one of those big semi trucks, and its license plate was written on a piece of paper. I tried pulling out my iPhone camera, but it was too late (would have been a great Fail pic). It was turning in to one of those semi-truck checking stations (whatever those are called).

So, I doubt having your license plate one a piece of paper. I wonder what happened to that truck driver. What would happen to him?
