It's worth it for me just because Wii games look so much nicer running in their native resolution on the GamePad screen. I played Xenoblade Chronicles for a few hours last night and it looked so much better when compared to playing it on my HDTV. The speakers do a pretty good job as well.

i think they felt donkey kong would sell better after the holidays after more people pick up a wiiU. also it will help fill the gap between mario kart 8..

this holiday has too many games on both 3ds and wiiU

zelda link between worlds/sonic lost world/pokemon xy/mario sonic olympics/wiifit/wii sports club/mario 3d world/batman origins+blackgate/asasins creed 4/call of duty ghosts

He means that the homebrew channel is the problem(bolded text). Given that the remotes work fine outside of it, it's probably safe to assume it's the software itself. Unless there's an updated version out there which corrects the issue, I can't see your new remotes working with it.
