Kind of the final straw for me,

the lovely new ceramic white PS3 with 40GB hard drive has an RRP of 39,980 Yen in Japan.

That's $340 which is £176.

The bog standard Wii is £180 ($367) in the UK, if you can get one. Meanwhile, the black PS3 with 40GB hard drive is £300 ($613) which is almost twice as much as its Japanese counterpart. Japan has a near identical economic model to the UK, so import duty aside, it's unacceptable. Sony's import embargo on Europe means you can't even try to get a fair deal.
