I would so love to see this dream become a reality! However, I think it will run along the same lines as the much-waited-for Battlefront 3: the gaming industry nowadays is much more about making high profit, low production cost games than creating riskier (financially) sequels to games that would cost more $$$ to develop. This explains why we will in all likelihood see another 50+ versions of Call of Duty before any company actually would make Battlefront 3, which has been picked up and subsequently dropped by no less than FOUR different companies. High-franchise games like CoD cost very little money to create, and they have to do very little effort in the development. Anyone can argue with me, and I'm sure some people will, but come on - every game is a re-skined version of the previous one. All the guns are 95% identical, and don't give me the "Nuh-uh, this one is burst fire!". If you want to see an example of a game where every single gun is extremely unique in how it functions, look at the guns in the Mass Effect series, specifically Mass Effect 3. Essentially every single gun has it's own function that sets it completely apart from every other gun. But I digress, I'm not sure Warcraft IV will ever happen: it was scraped very early in its development phase when Blizzard started creation of WoW. Also, Diablo III sucked noodles for two reasons: 1) Most of the Diablo II team left Blizzard North almost 10 years ago and formed the company Runic Games (if you hated Diablo III as much as I did, check out their game series: Torchlight. It succeeds in every way that Diablo III fails), and 2) they rushed production in a huge way: the game was more or less designed and published in less than 2 years. A slightly off topic thought, has anyone else noticed a Blizzard pattern here? Three Warcraft games, then an MMO: Diablo III looks to be heading in that direction, so I dearly hope to not look at vdeo game news and see announced "World of Diablo". I'd probably go drown myself in the same well that little Timmy fell down... Also, was anyone else super annoyed with the whole premise of World of Warcraft? i mean, the united races of Azeroth had only just recently thrown aside their hatred for each other in order to save their world, starting to only world peace in all of Azeroth's history, and Blizzard explains this away in their original trailer for WoW with a simple "blah, blah, 2 years have passed, blah blah, the gongs of war have sounded once again." just so they could add a competitive feature to their MMO with the over-done video game cliche "Choose a side!". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "For $60, you too can be a video game bugs tester!"
