This is a super untimely, dumb ruling that will shaft the consumers as all publishers will carry their games to subscription services and we'll end up owning NO games. Publishers/developers aren't dumb and in 2019, their options aren't as limited as video rental days. They shafted Gamestop, they'll shaft gamers next if this goes through.

Just don't want to see movie news/reviews clutter the page, don't care for them and if I wanted them I'd go to somewhere else. Give us a mode to ignore those please.

So this last week, whenever I click a news story, a video keep playing on "the next news story" even though I didn't even scroll down! I don't have unlimited net connection and need to stop this. In fact, I don't want videos auto-playing even if I selected that news story. How can I prevent that?

I do, as I have been reading gaming journalism for over 25 years now and would like it to be free of social agenda pushing, favoritism, constant guilt-tripping and misleading against games whenever it doesn't suit their agenda. Gamespot has been suffering from this a lot and even though the dismissal of some writers was a good move, it's still not free of this.

This last week I was thinking how Gamespot suddenly got noticeably better with more PC-centric pieces, detailed and informative articles without strong bias, wondered how. I just saw the layoff news, names and it all made sense.

Just wow, they should have acted much sooner. I'm happy because the site I have been visiting for 15 years got much better and those people will find another job sooner or later in a place they can fit better in. Best for everyone to separate ways when things don't work. It didn't work with Carolyn Petit or Tom McShea. Carolyn's reviews were the absolute worst I had ever seen on GS. To be politically correct and not voice this opinion would be rude to everyone else that works on this site IMO.

Played 25 hours, it's quite probably the best Total War game yet but AI quirks need some patching. It's easily the best game CA put out since Medieval 2, way better than Empire & Napoleon disasters and limited-scope Shogun 2.

And yeah, I played every single Total War game for easily above a thousand hours so I know what I'm talking about. In an age of dumbed down strategy sequels, this one shines by going even more complex than ever.

Metacritic bombing this will only result in CA giving up RTS and going full-blown on MOBA crap, I wonder if people will be happy then, losing an RTS franchise that doesn't even have one direct competitor. No, Starcraft, CoH/DoW etc aren't its competitors.

It's more of Diablo 2.
