It's scary because the same things happening to me, and I've tried all of the above. So far I've found the same thing that some games I can play for hours and some I can't also I know that it's my power brick (psu) thats overheating. The games that I've tried to play and crash (due to overheating two red lights) are Fable 2 and Call of Duty 5, again Halo 3 works fine and so does Fallout 3 by the way Fable 2 seems to work fine when you run it from the disk.
