[QUOTE="Urouge"]

Having a ton of trouble picking out a new game. I just beat Fallout 3, and I believe I can say that it is my favorite game of all time.

I want to pick up Oblivion eventually, but I'm sort of tired of massive RPGs, as Fallout took three months to complete. I just don't have that much time to invest in a game until summer, so I need something else to mollify my gaming-thirst until summer.

However, I am having great difficulties finding something I'd like. I have GTA 4, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, all of which I've enjoyed. I also bought Halo way back and I truly hated it, so I doubt games like Halo or Modern Warfare will appeal to me.

I seriously can't find a single game that appeals to me; it's really discouraging, because I've only played 5 games on the Xbox.

Suggestions?

Well, Call of Duty is barely like Halo for starters. You would probably like CoD4. I think you should get something like Fable 2, Assassin's Creed 2, or Bioshock.

Thanks. I just decided to go with AC. I went and bought both yesterday, and it only cost me about as much for a brand new game, as they were both new copies. Going to test it out today sometime.

It depends.

Operation Anchorage is really sort of mediocre, BUT it gives the awesome Gauss Rifle and the Winterized tb-51 armor, which are truly fantastic.

The Pitt has a great atmosphere and story, but it was a bit short and the Achievement with the Steel Ingots was terrible. There's some good loot though.

Mothership Zeta's story is average, but there's some cool scenes and the holotapes are really entertaining. Lack of variation with enemies is pretty disappointing though. Lots of strong weapons that come with a ton of ammo.

Fear the Pink Mist - 5G

Halo 3... Not exactly an impressive achievement, but it's something atleast. Loving my Xbox so far and I've only had it for 6 days!

Yeah that's what I got. the 200 dollar Xbox Arcade... but then I hooked up a 60 GB harddrive so I can have more space. It's a smart idea in my opinion. Costs the same as Pro, plus you get the Jasper Chip.

I just got my Xbox Arcade with 60 GB harddrive and Halo 3 last Tuesday. Since I got my Wisdom Teeth out I've just been playing it constantly. I have a Jasper Chip model and it's been getting SORT OF hot and it makes some noise. I'm a wee bit paranoid about the RROD.

So... anybody with a Jasper Chip Model got a RROD yet?

Nice man, making fun of someone overweight, you should be proud of yourself. (Not really, you're probably under the age of 18 and live with your parents.)

See, isn't stereotyping fun?

Sorry, I wasn't under the impression that the Troupe of Overweight Gamers would start ganging up on me after that. I'd better back down now after reading your clever and exceedingly witty post.

Not sure where this whole overweight thing sparked from, I'm 6"3 and 180 pounds.

Cool weight.

You're pretty hilarious, man. Patronizing someone who's obviously younger than you. Bet it makes you feel big (mentally though, we all know you're overweight physically).

[QUOTE="samuraiguns"][QUOTE="CardiacKid07"] Agreed. CardiacKid07
srsly guys?

Seriously. Parents complain about their kids playing game that they shouldnt and then when they shoot up a school or something stupid they blame it on the video games that they shouldnt have played in the first place.

haha hate to break it to you, but shoot-outs at schools are borderline ALWAYS due to a kid's mental disability or constant bullying from classmates. any other reasons for the shootout are usually due to family issues or self confidence issues... NOT video games.

Even the kids who aren't mature enough to play these and can't tell right from wrong don't go shooting a bunch of people. This is an extremely hasty generalization that you made.
