I've got one in my Antec 900, it's tight, but it fits. And there's no point putting 2 fans on it. I have an S-Flex 1600rpm 120mm fan at the 'front' end and the rear exhaust fan is only 2-3 inches from the 'back' end of the heatsink.

But to answer the question:
• yes, it fits in the Antec 900
• yes, you can put 2 fans on it

Try a program called: Ultramon.

Google it.

The increase in performance is so small that you will only be able to tell the difference if you are holding a stop watch.

I built a gaming machine with the same specs as my rig for a friend, the only difference was his 150gb RaptorXs in raid 0 configuration and my single 36gb Raptor. I didn't get to test his rig out too much but when we gamed side by side, I can tell he was ashamed at the amount of money he wasted on those raptors. But I wouldn't call it a waste.

On the other hand, he got:
• Bragging rights
• shaved seconds off loading times (and i dont mean 10-15 sec., more like 0.5-2 seconds)
• a little (but still noticeable) more HDD noises
• more heat

Looks like there's no point in upgrading if you've already got a 8800gts 512.

I'll wait for more benchmarks.

I've recently built a nice quad core for gaming. OCed to 3.2mhz, 8800gts 512, 4gb of ram, raptor HD etc etc. And for the past 2 years, I've been using a G5 (dual core mac) with 2gb or ram, at work.

I can honestly say my brand new PC is much much slower than this 2 year old G5 when working with graphic programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Quark Xpress etc. Somehow, macs just run these programs better, even when they're all open.

So I would say an iMac is a good choice since you don't seem to be a hardcore gamer and your purpose is for graphics design. Yes, it will play WoW without a problem. Newer games on the other hand, I can't comment.

I cannot promise you it's not all gone.

But the same thing has happened to me before. Try taking it to some computer shop and ask if they do hard disk recovery or if they can refer you to someone who does. When I had my HD recovered, I got about 80% of my data back. Be prepared to pay an unfair amount. I paid close to $1000 cdn, but I had no choice as the contents were crucial to me.

at 100% all the time? I'm sure the fan would work at 100%, but what I'm really curious to know is:

Should I turn down the fan when im not gaming and only manually set it at 70-75% when I'm gaming? Or is there really no harm in keeping the fan at 70-75% all the time?

I have a 8800GTS 512mb (EVGA) and started playing with RivaTuner recently to OC it to 720MHZ from 640MHZ originally. To prevent it from overheating, i've manually adjusted the fan speed to 70%. Now I notice the fan stays at 70% regardless, the extra noise doesn't bother me, but should I be worried about putting too much strain on the fan itself? i.e. shortened lifespan of the fan.

BTW: The 8800GTS runs at 48ºC at load and idles at 32ºC
