Snow Days - School Closes due to Snow "Storm"

Well, Today I had no School! Yay! :D

Being how I'm look outside now to see absolutely no snow on the ground I wonder, "So...School is Canceled because..." Anyway, Guess how much snow we got, A WHOLE 1/8 INCH!:o That's a lot! :P So you may be thinking, what kind of school cancels because of a 1/8 of snow? Georgia schools, that's who! Well, yesterday the teachers explained to us that the only thing that will close schools on a snow day is if the roads are slippery, so the buses won't crash into each other and injure thousands of little children. (Their words, not mine!) Well, because the state of Georgia is completely unprepared for snow in Metro Atlanta (except at the airport and on major highways), the roads were icy everywhere...everywhere North of where I live. This morning I looked outside and the roads where completely dry (maybe they're icy somewhere else). This isn't anything compared to New Jersey (My homestate), in New Jersey, schools don't close down until we get at least 3-4 inches.;) New Jersey and the rest of the Northern United States are well prepared for snow. When I was a child I used to love how the snow plows would dump all of the snow they plowed from the streets on the corners and parking lots of our neighborhood. It would look something like this...usually bigger:
