@edinko @madmartigan117 oh for sure. EA is all kinds of evil when I comes testing the limits of how much a consumer will pay, and trying to squeeze every last drop out... That all said I still bought the bundle and will still play the games, heck I even have to use origin.
But the bottom line lies in economics, whoever offers the better offers will sell more games. This bundle imo doesn't really do anything for them in the long run if they don't change their business practices. they get everyone to use origin to play the HB games? So what, that doesn't mean anything if they don't sell any more games after that (they didn't make money this time b/c charity). Really the problem is not people who bought the HB, but the masses of sheeple are willing to pay for all the micro-transactions after buying the game on day 1, and don't care about all the technical/development problems with games.
@A_Rabid_Dog @G4m3r0uTL4wZ @Alucard_Prime It's cool and good that you are sticking to you guns about this, because there definitely needs to be people who do... but that's like saying I'm not going to watch a movie because I don't like one of the actors. That's good for you that you are sticking to your convictions and I agree with you about the micro-transactions not belonging, but its a tricky situation....it's like not wanting to support walmart. I try not to shop at walmart whenever possible... but there is a rare occasion when it cant be helped. And I am not gonna NOT give a game a chance, before I condemn it, just like the movie example. That doesn't mean you can't play the game without supporting EA and still be adamant against the DLC micro-transactions. Its just seems like close-minded and a waste to condemn something before giving it a shot.
@joshhi @smitherean Yeah screw capitalism, Adam Smith and the the invisible hand, we should live in a communistic society where everyone contributes equally! Only cheap uncaring assholes wouldn't want that!
@MigGui There are legitimate reasons to dislike EA's business practices, so there is definitely still a need to keep an eye out for EA. However, I agree with most of what you are saying, and this is a step in the right direction for EA.
I don't see why people are so hesitant to use Origin, even if its only for a game or two that wont work on steam. People shell out hundreds of dollars to play system exclusives, but bitch about having to download another program/client to play a game they (want?) to play?
I mean, I'm not the biggest EA fan, but I still jumped on this bundle because I am out for my own interests above all else.
