I have the game reserved at my local Gamestop and they will allow those with reservations into the mall and into the store tonight to pick it up. This will be my first Madden game since 2002, which I got for Gamecube around launch. I still think about how it would've been if EA didn't secure an exclusive NFL game license and 2K Sports could've made NFL 2K6. I have NFL 2K5 and man that game was such a blast. I still consider it the best football game i've ever played. It was so great and 2K really had a good thing going, only to get it legally snatched away from them. Oh well, I guess i'll find out within the next couple days whether or not Madden NFL 2006 will dethrone NFL 2K5 with me. I'm really looking forward to trying out the Quarterback Vision Cone feature tonight.

I just got back from the store. On my way I noticed people standing outside an EBGames. The crowd outside Gamestop wasn't all that large, but it was still a good amount of people. They gave us bags of chips to snack on while waiting and started selling them around 12:01 a.m. I guess I couldn't help but think about, once again, what it would've been like if NFL 2K6 existed. Oh well.

Well, I'm about to give the game a go. I may post impressions on it tommorow or sometime soon.
