hey guys, I apologise if this has been discussed before. But I really couldn't find any answer to my question. I have a problem with region locked items on Xbox Live. My console is PAL, and my registered Gamertag is US (long story short, my email was registered US long ago). I bought MS to purchase some games-on-demand in Xbox Live, however, after attempting to purchase some games with US MS points, I found that my US gamertag was showing NTSC region games, because it kept saying a message with something like "this game's region cannot be played with the console's region code" or something like that. my question is, can I view PAL contents with my US Gamertag? (such as PAL games on XBLM) If not, then can I actually create a new UK Gamertag with UK MS points, purchase the games off PAL contents on XBLM and once done I can sign into my US Gamertag and play them? In other words, can a downloaded game be played by 2 different gamertags in one console? I'll just be using my UK Gamertag to purchase PAL contents for my PAL xbox 360 console so that I can play them with my US Gamertag online with friends. The reason i'm asking is because I really dont want to lose my US Gamertag with saved, achievements, arcade downloaded contents etc. I just wish I could transfer my MS points and downloaded contents to another gamertag (screw achievements if I can't transfer them too =/ ) Thanks in Advance guys !

I bought my laptop in late 2006. So.. the Xbox has a better CPU and faster performance? Can I actually say the Xbox would perform lets say atleast 20-30% better than the laptop? because in the long run, PC Games will get pimped up in graphics terms, whereas Consoles wont have a problem, thats how I think of it though. just wanted your advices whether my money will go to waste on 360 or not :P

So theres not really worth purchasing 360 over my laptop is there, guessing that both systems have almost identical feedbacks. Is there something that 360 exceeds in that my laptop or any PC game doesn't? Or is it only that its a 'console' system where I can just purchase the 360 controller for my laptop

I never tried playing CoD4 on my laptop, But I am playing fallout 3 with medium settings graphics.. if I went with Ultra settings it would lag, and the *high* settings gives me the lag spikes sometimes.

I have been scratching my head over and over about this. I dunno which is the best place to post this thread, so thought this might be the place to solve my problem. I was just curious on how good the Xbox 360 graphics compared to my Dell XPS M1710 laptop. the problem is that I do not want to waste money on buying new rigs to compete with the games on the market now, I just need to a perfect engine to run the games to my desired needs and enjoy the graphics for years to come. As my laptop has all built-in and cannot upgrade any of its components for increased performance (although I never tried overclocking it, might give it a shot on that). I wanted to see if the Xbox does compete with my laptop and if they are on the same par. If so, then I'd be wasting my money on buying the xbox seeing its games are 90% on PC as well. My Laptop spec are as follows: SYSTEM: Windows XP, Media Center Edition XPS M1710 Core 2 Duo Processor T7600 @ 2.33 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB 2048MB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (2x1024) 100GB (7,200 rpm) Hard Drive DISPLAY: XPS 512MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX Current Display mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (60Hz) Version: 6.14.0011.7431 I do not know how to compare the xbox spec with my laptop specs, but wanted to know if the xbox is better than my current laptop. If not, i'd be better off staying with my laptop or saving $$ to get a new desktop rig. Please help a newbie =))
