WoW WAS good, it's just they made it way to user friendly, and now everyone is going ape over it. Raiding is way too easy now and so is getting geared up, it just seems to me that it's lost it's edge.
If you haven't COMPLETELY given up on RPG games I'd definitely suggest Morrowind and Oblivion. Very terrific, opened ended games with 100s of hours of gameplay a piece.
