@guitarwarrior66: Hey I remember you. You're the one that complains about stories in video games. You liked Detroit, which you somehow didn't see as a story driven video game LOL You don't have time for stories in games but you have time to write a novel in a comments section..
@s1taz4a3l: Are you trying to twist the reality that PS sells more than MS? Believe what you want and deny the rest? Are you getting a cut of the profits? It's pretty simple. MS wanted exclusives so they could sell more consoles and get more game pass subs. They spent billions to acquire studios to do this. Turns out this doesn't lead to instant profit(or winning the "war"). You know what would? Selling games to PS owners. It's money. They want more money..
@crashchaos: That was pretty much it. The first time I played Skyrim for way too long. I can still get headaches if I play too long but if I could survive 40 hours of Skyrim, I can survive anything.
@crashchaos: Skyrim on PSVR1 is what really broke me in years ago. The graphics were rough(ps3 game) and not easy on the eyes but to be able to play such an amazing game again in VR, I had to power through it. I probably played 3-4 hours the first day and felt pretty sick after(and during lol). Ever since then though, it's been smooth sailing for me. I basically ripped the band-aid off, so to speak,
@guitarwarrior66: "which gamer care about cutscene or story in a video game? if you do then you are not a gamer"
Detroit is filled with story and cut-scenes. By your own admission you are not a gamer if you enjoy it. That's how examples work. You enjoy games that have a ton of story but you claim you don't enjoy the story part of the game, and yet you still play the game. You are choosing to only enjoy certain parts of games and criticize people for enjoying ALL of a game. It is a weird stance to take. None of your arguments make sense. At this point I just feel bad for you. Also, I never mentioned Death Stranding or played it.
@guitarwarrior66: You think Detroit is a bad example of a story heavy game? It's a choose your own adventure book in game form. The gameplay is 90% the decisions you make. That is a literal story you write for yourself. And you liked it! Is it all the walking around that you enjoy? Is that what makes it a true game for you? So you liked Witcher because you read the books? Funny how that works. I'll just keep letting you make my points for me..
@guitarwarrior66: I think Cyber Punk is a good example of the best of both worlds(especially v2). I enjoyed the gameplay and the story. I think without the story driving the gameplay, it would just be another pretty shooter. Why can't a game be an interactive book? What's wrong with that? I'm guessing you hated or never played Detroit, Heavy Rain, TellTale, Mass Effect even(the story are the fries). Clearly you like to shut off your brain and blow things up or whatever. I get it. However, many people like complexity to their games. It doesn't make you a "watcher". That's nonsense.
