A couple of months ago I decided to make the decision to sign up to Netflix solely for the free month trial (because after browsing there wasn't much to keep me signed up after that period). I had heard of Showtime's Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series 'Dexter' a while ago, and knew eventually I'd want to give it a try.
After watching a few episodes and getting into it, I purchased the Seasons 1-5 boxset for a bargain price, and 2 months later have watched all the episodes and special features, and has left me addicted and wanting more. I guess I'll have to wait for 'Dexter' Season 6 to be released on the 18th June, a pre-order I'm really anticipating!
For those of you who haven't seen it, the show centres on Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer, preying on perpetrators who have slipped through the justice system. Michael C. Hall is perfect as the protagonist, and has deservedly won many awards and nominations for his portrayal of everybody's favourite serial killer. Combining crime drama, mystery, suspense, pschological thrills and black comedy, this on-going television series is a must-see for it's thoroughly engrossing investigations and the heart-pounding suspense as Dexter's secret life becomes harder to hide from his team, friends and family.
And on June 18th here in the UK, the 'Avenging Angel' returns. I cannot wait! :D
