A sudden problem has risen again, something I thought I was rid of. For the newcomers to this profile, let me fill you in on what previously happened. When you access my profile you'll notice I've been on Gamespot since March 31st 2010. Wrong. I have actually been a member on Gamespot since February 17th 2009, and on that account something happened that forced me to start over. I had written 54 reviews, certainly poor reviews in comparison to my remakes on this account, but none-the-less, at the time I was proud of them. One blog series I did changed everything. On that blog series, I encountered many users who disliked my choices, weren't afraid to say so in some harsh ways, and an argument developed. I suffered heavy point loss (dropped 4 whole levels from level 28 ) and was suspended for a week. My reviews I noticed later, got completely trolled upon, so much to the extent that all 54 of them got heavily thumbed down by about 5 just over night.
I decided enough was enough, and took a break from Gamespot for a few months. I then returned with a brand new name, and a fresh start, added my friends that I trusted, and since June, I've been blogging and writing reviews like before.
However just recently I noticed that that person has thumbed down some of my reviews. I know it was deliberate because of the fact that 4 of them got 3 thumbs down each in just an hour, whether its the same person or a friend of that person remains to be seen. No doubt the same person bearing a grudge against me in some way. Its unfortunate because that means its being done by someone with access to this profile, meaning its someone I presumably trusted and liked. I don't know why someone is trying to get the message across that they have something against me by thumbing down my reviews (or even all the comments in a couple of my blogs), and to be honest its really annoying.
If the person responsible is reading this blog, I would appreciate it if they could own up to doing it, because I know its someone I'm tracking, I just can't figure out who, because quite frankly it could be anyone, and I'm sorry to have to say that, but I'm finding it difficult to trust people now. You may think "Its only thumbs down on your reviews", but the point is I spend a lot of time writing them, and to have someone who seriously doesn't like me thumbing them down, when all they have to do is send a private message explaining there problem with me, is something I can't tolerate.
If no one owns up to it, then I may be forced to set my profile to be completely private, which is unfortunate because I like blogging. But the fact is, I joined Gamespot to write reviews, and if I have to stop blogging and avoid contact with people to do that, then that is how it'll have to be. I hope the person responsible can at least have the balls to tell me why it is they are doing this, and so things can be resolved and everything can continue peacefully. I'm sorry everyone.
